Izuku Midoriya woke up at 5 AM on the dot. Today was the day he started training at Dagoba Beach with All Might! He threw on his white shirt and blue sweatpants, strange for going out at dawn but he knew he was going to work up a sweat regardless.
See, this wasn't normal training. He was cleaning up the beach. It seems like just typical community service, but really the beach was polluted with countless upon countless piles of garbage. The beach had been neglected by the city for years and All Might saw it fit to have the aspiring ninth wielder of One For All clean the whole place up.
Midoriya stepped outside, the cool breeze immediately hitting his face. The boy shivered but breathed in the crisp air. It was sharp. It pierced his lungs and got him excited, he felt rejuvenated.
...10 Months had passed since his first day of training with All Might, it was now the day of the U.A. High School Entrance Exam! Midoriya now had a lean body, with muscles not noticeable through clothing but when you touched him they were rock solid. He was ready to inherit the power of the greatest hero.
"Oh my...oh my, GOODNESS!" All Might yelled out in his muscle form, "MIDORIYA, KID! I can't believe it!" He exclaimed. Midoriya couldn't believe it either, as he stood upon a mountain of piled trash he cleaned up, screaming his lungs out from the aching of his muscles.
The greenette fell off, and All Might rushed to catch him before he hit the sand. "Well done, Young Midoriya!"
Midoriya breathed out, "I did it All Might. I did it..."
All Might laughed and showed Midoriya a photo of him before, crying on the sand ten months ago. "The path forward is ever-so-slightly clearer! But you're a true blue vessel now!"
Midoriya stood up, gallons of sweat dripping from his shirtless body. He panted, "Feels like...I cheated..though."
All Might gave Midoriya a strand of his hair, insisting that the boy had to ingest some of the hero's DNA in order to inherit One For All. It was gross, borderline vomit-inducing, but Midoriya swallowed it. Three hours before the exam.
"I'm doing it, Sora. I'm on my way to becoming a hero!"
...For the past 10 months Sora has been renting out a small shack on the outskirts of the city. The Keyblade wielder took up a job as a librarians assistant, hoping to earn some of this world's local currency in order to pay his monthly rent.
Every night Sora gives detailed reports about his day to Roxas, Ventus, Xion, and Naminè in hopes that any little thing can give them a hint to finding him. After spending some time studying in the library, in which a free library card comes with the job, he's been able to learn some things about this world.
Sora learned the origins of quirks, an evolution in humans. The boy was a little jealous that the evolutionary stage never reached the Destiny Islands. He would've loved to become a super hero with Riku.
In a way, Sora already was a super hero. He's saved countless worlds from the forces of darkness, and put a stop to Xehanort and the Organization. He was proud of the Guardian of Light he'd become.
It was now 8 AM, just one hour before the U.A. Entrance Exams. Sora spent time at the library researching about what the test was, but it never seemed consistent with each year. His face scrunched up. His palms began to sweat as he thanked the librarian, his boss, for allowing him the spend the night studying.
He was certain he could get into U.A., based on his research it was the only place that surely could help him get home.
...The boy with green hair's heart was pounding. He hadn't gotten a chance to use One For All yet, could his body handle it?
He walked through the entrance of the renowned hero academy, lost in thought. There's no way he could fail. He spent so long training with All Might! If he didn't pass then he was a failure of a successor.
I can do this, he thought to himself.
Then...
He tripped.
This is the end, the boy thought. He closed his eyes and braced for impact.
Then he felt a sharp pain on his cheek. He opened his eyes and saw that his feet were no longer touching the ground. "Oh my gosh," he exclaimed, "Did I die? Am I a ghost?"
"No silly, it's my quirk!" A girly voice giggled next to him. He turned to his left and was found breathless. He saw a brunette girl with rosy pink cheeks. She was wearing a light checkered scarf, with a brown overcoat covering her chest. "It's a bad omen to trip and fall," she said. "Well, see ya later!"
Midoriya slapped his face with both hands. He had to focus, he couldn't let a pretty girl distract him from the big test.
...When Sora arrived at the entrance of the school, he stood there. So many interesting characters were entering the huge doors of the massive building. There was a boy with a tail, a girl whose skin was pink, and with her a guy with red hair that reminded him of Axel's.
"Move out of my way you extra," Sora heard a grumble behind him. He turned to find the blonde-haired boy, from the sludge incident and also Midoriya's friend. He found it strange that Midoriya could be friends with someone like him.
"Kacchan, right? That's what Midoriya called you," Sora started, "I'm So-"
"Don't call me that!" The other boy exploded, both figuratively and literally. "It's annoying enough when that damn nerd Deku says it." He bumped shoulders with Sora and then continued on his way. "Get out of my way unless you wanna die."
Sora looked on, wondering how the hell that boy was gonna become a hero.
Either way, he's here to take the test just like Sora is. There's no room for distractions. Sora's palms felt clammy, and he wondered if he had forgotten to put on deodorant this morning. He was so nervous about whether or not he would actually pass.
But he had to.
He has to make it home.
He clenched his fist and wiped the sweat from his forehead. The brunette shook off the uncertainty and held his head up as he walked forward.
I'm going to become a hero!
