But worst of all was the haunting of her past self.
And not only that.
The ghost of who she might have been.
The ghost of a girl she had never got to know.
She was 7 when it started.
And now she was 13.
Nearly twice the age.
And she had been miserable and depressed even before that.
Even at 5 years old.
She had know the pain.
She had known the bitter agony of existence.
So she couldn't remember who she had been before.
And that was the worst bit.
A life that never lived.
An unborn child.
Came back to haunt its killer.
