Promises

Jungwon POV
I think my heart is going to burst out of my chest. Jay's warm hands gently cup my face as he begins to chuckle. I hate this. I just confessed my feelings to my best friend and he's laughing. Maybe he thinks I'm joking? That would be better than him rejecting me. Right? I hate my eyes. They start to water and I try to blink back my tears but fail miserably as they begin to slowly fall from my eyes. "Why are you laughing?" I manage to say as I take deep breaths to control my tears. He continues to quietly laugh trying to hold it back but failing. I can feel my heart squeezing in my chest as he hugs me tightly. Suddenly all of the tension from my body releases. It feels like I'm frozen in time as the air in my lungs comes out smoother and easier. My skin begins to heat up and my fingers feel a bit lighter. He kissed me. Then he says "I like you too." Maybe I am going crazy. Maybe I heard him wrong. I look up as I am greeted by his beautiful smile. His sweet eyes looking back into my nervous ones. "What?" I breathlessly ask. When did talking become so difficult? "Yang Jungwon I like you. Actually I love you. I always have." The whole world stops. I swear my body was on fire now. I feel the heat from my face slowly travel its way down to my toes. I place my hands on his shoulders as I tiptoe and gently kiss him. I love this. He tastes so sweet and smells so intoxicating. I never want to stop. I want to be in this moment forever. Kissing him feels like paradise. I love this. I love him. So much. My Jay. My paradise.

Jay POV:
I almost regret kissing Jungwon when he looks up at me with his nervous eyes searching mine. I should've asked him. Even though he said he likes me he never said he wanted to kiss me. Why would I? My mind goes blank and a fog wraps around it as he places his hands on my shoulders and gently kisses me. Shock rushes through my body but I quickly react as I gently kiss him back. It felt so unreal. This is so addicting. The kiss was slow and passionate. Perfect in every way. I wanted to drown in his taste, his scent, his touch. He's so warm and fits so perfectly in my arms. Why did we wait so long to do this? Jungwon slightly pulls back from the kiss with half lidded eyes. I look into his eyes and smile as I gently brush a strand of his hair that has fallen out of place. Jungwon smiles back at me as he says "I love you too." I can't fight my urges anymore as I tightly hug him. I nuzzle my face into the crevice of his neck lifting him off of his feet twirling him around. "You have no idea how long I've wanted to hear those words from you." Jungwon and I look at each other and laugh. I gently place him back down onto his feet as he says "We really are dumb." I laugh in response as I nod my head in agreement. "See I told you our plan would work!" I hear from afar. I turn around and see Sunoo smiling brightly while holding hands with Sunghoon. "What plan?" I turn my attention back to Jungwon as I hear him ask this. I bring my hand up to my neck and nervously rub it as I say "Um... about that."

Jungwon POV:
"WHAT? So all of that was on purpose? You made me jealous on purpose? How did you know it would work?" I ask Jay after he explained to me every step of his plan with Sunoo. "I didn't but Sunoo was convinced it would work and I was desperate. I figured it was worth a try." Jay says with a nervous smile while slightly shrugging his shoulders. I playfully hit Jay's chest as I say "Well I'm glad the plan worked because we're together now but you really had me worried when you were with Sunoo! I really thought you liked him! Ugh I wish we had talked instead of doing that stupid distance thing. Which I never apologized for. I'm really sorry about that Jay." Jay chuckles as he grabs my hand and presses a gentle kiss to the back of it. "It's okay won but let's make a promise." Jay says softly. I look up at him waiting for him to continue. He interlocks our fingers as he smiles and says "If there's ever anything wrong or we ever have certain feelings for something we must communicate." I smile as I bring up my free hand and hold out my pinky finger. "I promise." I softly say. Jay smile brightens as he interlocks his pinky with mine. We then turn our attention as Sunoo says "Yahh no PDA!" Jay and I look at each other as we blush and loudly laugh. We let go of each other's pinky but keep our hands interlock as we walk over to Sunoo and Sunghoon. "Let's go on a walk together!" Sunoo offers with a bright smile. We all exchange looks before nodding in agreement as we begin to walk out of the company building.
