9: Losing Yourself

3rd person pov:

As they sink into the ground. A shadow twirls on the walls.

Izu:"So how have you been earthquake momo? I see that after shock jiro isn't with you."

Momo:"Be silent. The master has ordered you to face judgment for your crimes."

Once deep into the earth. They stop and it opens up to a hallway carved between two tectonic plates.

Momo shoves izuku forward. Forcing him to take the first painful step. As an eye opens on the wall.

Elsewhere, the Hawks glances down to see the silver robe. Eyes widen with fear. So he lands in her way and transforms to bow to her.

Haw:"My lady. What brings you here?"

Jiro:"I'm here to return something that was stolen. Now either help me or move aside."

As she looks at Hawks. The ground rumbles. So he transforms back and flys over the village.

As jiro follows Hawks. She passes the church and spits at it.

Jiro:"The only God you should serve is the one you've nearly killed. All will return to him in time."

As they approach the docks. She sees bakugou dumping liquid into the sea. Full of rage. Jiro rushes over and uses the ground to restrain bakugou.

Baku:"Oi! What the fuc-"

The ground creeps up on his body and puts pressure on him.

Baku:"Gsh..... What are....you?"

As Hawks lands on a pillar. Dabi lands on the dock to look in the bucket.

Jiro:"You scum. I'll rip you to shreds!"

Shinsow swims and sees bakugou in trouble. He goes to reach up, but pulls away at the last moment.

Shin:"I'm sorry, but there's nothing I can do."

Haw:^I wouldn't be so sure. Go into the cloudy water.^

Shinsou looks and sees a foam blob on the surface. As he touches it. He breaks through the surface.

Jiro:"Now time to get what I came here for."

As she reaches for his chest. Kirishima hits her with a broom stick.

Kiri:"That's enough! Let him go!"

Jiro stands up and growls before turning around.

Shin:"Jiro!!"

She turns around ready for a fight. Only to stop in place.

Jiro:"How is this possible? You were trapped. "

Shin:"Take a look in the water. That stuff in the bucket eats plastic."

Dabi:"It's worms."

Shin:"Let him keep it for now. He's actually helping. We at least own him an extra day for freeing me."

Baku:"A..... day!?"

Jiro:"Very well."

She releases him and turns around.

Jiro:"I'll return tomorrow with the promise that he won't refuse his fate."

As bakugou is released. Kirishima catches him and hears a clatter.

Kiri:"Let's get you home-"

Bakugou slaps Kirishima away and stumbles to his feet.

Baku:"I don't need your help. Now get going."

As bakugou walks away. He doesn't get far before collapsing.

Meanwhile, with every slow step forward. Izuku is forced to remember.

The first sighting, bakugou was fishing and would collect plastic.

Izuku was scared as a deep voice repeats in his mind.

^Humans killed your parents. Don't let them see you and kill on sight unless they make a deal with you.^

As bakugou pulls out a gun to shoot a deer. He hesitates and throws a rock against a tree to freak it out. That's when poachers kill it.

Izuku boils in anger, but before he can strike them. Bakugou shoots one in the arm. Causing the other two to aim at him.

Baku:"This isn't your land! So stay the hell out!"

As an alligator walks up behind the blonde. T b e men run away thinking he's the spirit.

Baku:"That's right. Run home bitch boys!"

As bakugou turns around. He steps back and looks at the animals for a moment. He then reaches down.

Izu:^That's it. Just a bit closer.^

Bakugou stops and backs away again. Pulling out the only food be caught and offers it to them.

Baku:"Good swamp puppies. You did good protecting your home. I don't have anything se, but in time. I hope to clean this place for you. As thanks for saving me."

Bakugou sees that one has plastic around a leg, and if not removed soon. The animal will lose it. So Bakugou carefully cuts it free.

Baku:"Put in a good word with your master. I'll be back after I dispose of the trash."

Outside of the memory. Izuku is shrouded in a dark fog as another eye opens with a step further.

Bakugou seeing izuku hiding behind a tree. Watching him after getting closer.

Izuku steps back to hide. Only to trip and fall on a root. Causing bakugou to laugh. As izuku sees his bright smile for the first time. It quickly turns to anger when a bird wraps on his head. Causing izuku to laugh.

Baku:"You little shit. Get over here!"

As bakugou gives chase. Izuku hides by sinking in the water. Only to watch bakugou throw moss, but continue to clean up.

This memory hurt. As the fog gets thicker. Causing two eyes to open.

Izu:"Stop..... please..... I can't lose him. Not again. "

Izuku remembers helping bakugou servive a harsh storm. Only to neglect his own land. So Bakugou helped him replant.

Izuku falls to one knee because of the pain. Then, twenty eyes open all around him.

Momo:"Crawl."

She kicks izuku Causing him to fall to the ground.

Izu:"Please stop master. I beg of you!"

A dark voice echos around him.

DS:"You know the price. Time to put you back as you once were. The human won't be a problem anymore. "

Izu:"I won't let you take him away. He's different from the rest."

The fog turns into a claw. Gripping izuku's body, and from the darkness ahead stands two figures. One with the head of a bird and body of human. The other is the darkness.

Tokoyami:"I've already lost too many of my friends to them. I won't lose another. Now to finish taking your memories."

Izuku begins to cry. As he feels sharp claws in his head. Picking his mind apart in search of preshious memories to destroy.

Elsewhere, bakugou is unconscious and whimpering in his sleep. The horror of visions..... true, or false?
