13: Greed Or Love?

3rd person pov:

As izuku uses herbs to help heal himself faster. The bark like skin begins to fade.

Momo:"Looks like you won't last much longer."

Izu:"I have to get to kacchan soon."

Mirko:"I can send you to his village on horse back. "

Izu:"What about the human?"

Momo:"We'll handle him. Now go home, little deer."

Izuku feels his head and realizes that he has two small antlers growing.

Izu:"Oh no."

Mirko ruffles his hair and gives him some of her power with a red crystal necklace.

Mirko:"This'll help you get there. Now go."

As she calls for a horse. Izuku hugs her.

Izu:"Thank you."

Mirko:"No problem. I'm only returning the favor."

Momo:"Before you go. I gotta know something. Have you decided yet?"

Izuku's smile drops for a moment. Only to come back to his lips with eyes closed.

Izu:"I have, and I'll have no regrets."

Momo:"Very well."

She slaps the horse to send him on his way.  As he leaves. Shigaraki watches from a far.

So when mirko walks up to where he lives. It surprised the human.

Then mirko pops her neck and fingers before squatting.

Shig:"What is she up to?"

As mirko jumps up. A new mountain forms and momo shakes the ground to help it sore high.

As Shigaraki stumbles and falls. Mirko slides down. Ready to end this.

Mirko:"Tomura! Get your ass over here!"

As she approaches. Shigaraki drops his button to use t h e TNT.

As mirko pins him against a wall with her horns ready to gouge out his entrails. Shigaraki begins to laugh.

Mirko:"Tch. Crazy human."

Shig:"You're not wrong. I am crazy. Crazy for you, that is."

Shigaraki leans down and kisses her horns.

Shig:"I'm sorry for hurting you. I have no right to. Nothing could ever excuse my behavior. So as a last request. I'd like to tell you why I did it."

Mirko:"Don't take to long. You got five minutes."

Shig:"That's more than enough time."

Shigaraki pulls out of his shirt pocket a note.

Shig:"This is a preservative contract with the local towns to protect your lands. In exchange for resources. I asked you for more because I wanted to surprise you for our fifth year anniversary. I was even going to purpose that day and make us official. However,  you jumped the gun and thought it was greed. So I went along with it. In hopes that if humans hurt you that badly. You'd never have to worry about them again. You could even have other spirits here under the protection. Making a home for everyone to co exist. Even if it was built on lies."

Shigaraki begins to cry.

Shig:"I hurt you so that I could protect you from worse humans."

As Shigaraki gently pulls her close and presses the horns to his throat. He feels her trembling.
