Part 6

"You Win"

After class I immediately went straight to the Chess Club. Kyle wanted to join me, but suddenly there was an emergency so he left immediately.

When I entered, I saw only two people inside, Clyde and Alea. Clyde whispered something to Alea so Alea immediately left, I don't know what it was but before Alea left she smiled at me and gave a thumbs up hand sign as if it was a comforting support.

Clyde is sitting on the other chair and on top of the table there is a chess board and the chess pieces are already arranged. I think I know what we will do.

I sat in the other seat that was meant for me. I'm white and he's black. He signaled for me to start.

**White (Sheilah)** 
I moved my e pawn to e4.

**Black (Clyde)** 
He mirrors my move, playing e5.
Responding symmetrically, asserting control as well.

Copying me huh. Give me more surprising moves.

**White (Sheilah)** 
I moved my  knight to f3.
Developing the knight, aiming for quick development.

**Black (Clyde)** 
He moved his knight to c6.
Developing and preparing to support the center.

**White (Sheilah)** 
I bring out my bishop to b5.
Deploying the Spanish Opening.

**Black (Clyde)** 
He plays a6, attacking the bishop. Challenging my bishop's position early on.

**White (Sheilah)** 
I retreats my bishop to a4. Maintaining the pin and preparing for castling.

**Black (Clyde)** 
He continues the development with Nf6. Preparing for castling as well.

**White (Sheilah)** 
I castles kingside.
Securing my king and connecting the rooks.

**Black (Clyde)** 
He plays d6, reinforcing the center. Strengthening his pawn structure and preparing to develop his pieces further.

He is doing well now, it seems that I will not be able to enter this Chess Club again.

**White (Sheilah)** 
advances my d pawn to d4.
Opening up the center and challenging his central control.

**Black (Clyde)** 
He strikes back with b5, attacking White's bishop.
Challenging my bishop's position and expanding on the queenside.

To be honest, I'm nervous, I don't want to lose, but he plays so well.

**White (Sheilah)** 
I captures Black's knight with Bxd7+. Disrupting his development and potentially gaining a tempo.

**Black (Clyde)** 
He captures back with exd4.
Accepting the sacrifice and gaining material advantage.

"Finally, I won with you" He said.

"What?" I asked.

"I won, Our fight didn't even last long, it was boring. You can't prove anything to me, you lose." He said with a grin on his face.

How arrogant,who do you think you are? eat your winnings. But did I hear correctly? He has finally defeated me. I was so focused on what I was thinking that I didn't realize I was alone in the room. Did that guy leave me here alone? he didn't even tell me.
