"Show yourself, Alastor! Come and-"
A loud booming voice had echoed steadily, with a slight confidence before coming to a slight falter, his eyes wandered from the tattered wall to the still-perfect balcony. I had moved to hastily step closer to the on-going scene in pure curiosity, seeing a giant wavering blimp. I had shrugged to myself as I had became thoughtful, observing.
"Oh, there you are..." he spoken underneath his breath, eyes finally caught upon Alastor above.
"Face my wrath!"
"Who are you?"
I glanced between the unsavory duo, noticing the sinner who had been hoisted in the blimp to be a serpent, I had felt my eyes narrow in dismay.
I hadn't been particularly fond of serpents... As my past had suggested, my care, devotion and protection of creatures, I had lost complete view of these reptilian beasts.
Ofcourse I had forgiven their race, their upbringing not their own fault as a certain angel had smeared their reputation completely, ruining them on largely offensive terms.
Lucifer's physical embodiment of temptation ... A serpent.
I had now found myself standing outside the residence with Charlotte and her peers, all watching the insanity of the serpent above, he had introduced himself as an architect of destruction.
Sir Pentious.
I had stood idly, clenching my fists as I had stared at the black-colored serpent intently.
"Discard your endeavor, Wayward Sinner! You shan't bring this residence nor it's members a sliver of harm!" Alastor had silently moved to place his arm before I, communicating that he'd be taking care of this particular sinner, I had stood back, crossing my arms.
The pair had bickered, most of the noise emitting from the serpent as he had explained the numerous times of battle he had ensued with Alastor as the Radio Demon had simply shrugged his claims off completely, grinning mischievously as he eyed the sinner.
They had talked of, what I had assumed, a group of sorts. The Vees. I had watched with great mortification as Alastor had charged at the sinner with blackened tentacle-maneuvers, my arms creating a short of barricade to the appalling scene yet finding myself watch the whole ordeal, frowning with largely-wide eyes and terror. Beside I was the spider demon and Charlotte.
Alastor had laughed out maniacally in an odd satisfaction.
"Eh, Alastor! He's had enough ... !"
"Nah, he's still got a few more hits in him!"
"Discard the sinner! Violence won't commend the problem, Radio Demon!"
Alastor had continued, letting the screaming serpent slip from his blimp and fall roughly face-first onto the rocky asphalt. I had winced,
"Thank-you for another forgettable experience!"
"Forgettable to you..." I had softly muttered,
"Thank... you... For letting your guard down!" the serpent had retorted with an uproarious laugh before reaching to rip a piece of the Radio Demon's tattered coat off, instantly evoking loud elk cries that had erupted from Alastor as he grew large antlers,
"Oh, shit."
--
Earlier, Sir Pentious had been flung ever so not-gracefully along the Pentagram sky of Hell by the docile hand of Alastor. The Radio Demon had left, off to a tailor of sorts...
Now I had sat a bit begrudgingly on a barstool in the residence, writing a short report of my progress for the first day to my sisters. I had felt a slight irk of disappointment, gifting no perfect-guidance for the ordeal earlier.
I had attempted peace. Remember, Y/N, souls control their own destiny and actions. Not you, you can only offer a chance...
A chance.
I had sighed, wistfully gliding the feather-pen along the silver page, once I had finished etching the little letters, I had let it evaporate with my hand as I sent it to Heaven.
"Need a drink?" I had slightly lifted my head, peering lowly at the feline-sinner. I had always been fond of felines, I had offered him a warm smile.
"Oh, no thank-you, child... I do not partake in alcoholic beverages. But I happily appreciate your consideration." he had slightly lifted his feathered brow, wiping a glass he had held.
"You don't? Sorry for assuming ... You are sitting at my bar, afterall."
"I had only used the seating and counter to write out a report... And it is quite comfortable here." he had gave me a small smile,
"So, what's uh, what's Heaven like?"
"Ethereal ... Clean. Lowly it smells of geosmin, but I have heard of countless stories that the winners would occasionally smell the waft of their favorite scents. Heaven consists of community... love and worship. Much opposite to Hell completely, ofcourse... This cursed realm." I had reminisced slightly, gazing over the bottles of alcohol that had displayed behind Husker. He looked thoughtful, smiling softly at my words, my lips had parted once more,
"It's incredibly enchanting, every being deserves a chance there... I hope deeply for these souls to rise to ascension... What a historical event it shall be!" I had spoke enthusiastically, bringing my hands together as I had beamed a great optimism. Husker had now looked neutral, putting the cleaned glass away,
"... You're starting to sound as delusional as Charlie..."
Delusional...
like ... Charlie ...
¿
I'm no dreamer.
