"Yes" Hazel blurted after long thinking through of the situation he is gonna put himself in

Hazel wasn't a fool, he was smart enough and he knew what should be done at the moment to avoid any risk

He knew it's was unethical on his side to fool the officer but he didn't have any choice, don't get him wrong Hazel wasn't selfish, he had already thought the consequences carefully

And what he was going to do right now was beneficial on both part

First, The criminal inside his house would believe that he was scared of her (which he is) and he wouldn't give away her information because he fears for his life

Second, is that as long as the criminal is in his house, no one would be endangered, the people would be safe and he wouldn't have anything to worry about....expect his own life

But as for now, this choice was best according to him, so he would do just that

"Where did you see her?" The cop's desperate voice pulled him out of his stance, he stared at the man for a moment before speaking

'uh yeah actually when I was in my room, the light suddenly went off, so i decided to check that if it's just my house or the whole town, so I opened the window to my room, then I saw her, she was wearing prisoner's clothing and sneaking away in that direction" Hazel finished pointing his fingers in the opposite direction to his house, the officer's gaze following his pointing finger

The officer glanced back at Hazel who was still pointing at the direction, a nervous glint in his eyes that didn't go unnoticed by the cop

"Are you sure?" The cop asked to confirm

"Yes I am sure, she was same as this picture" he replied, trying to sound as confident as he can

The officer nodded, sliding the picture back into his pocket before turning to walk the direction Hazel pointed at, but before that he turned back to glance at Hazel who pulled a nervous smile

"You know you can contact the police if you need any help" the officer tried once again because honestly he felt something was off, but he can't do anything if the young man over here doesn't tell him

Hazel nodded "yes, i surely will" he uttered before giving a polite smile to the worried cop, who nodded, narrowing his eyes for a brief moment, but walked away nevertheless

Hazel let out a heavy breath once he closed the door, he reassured himself by saying that he did the right thing over and over again in his mind

Once he was calmed enough, he started to look for the wanted, but couldn't see her anywhere

'did she run away?'

That thought bloomed a happy feeling inside him, but he frowned the next moment, realising that how much of a threat she would be to the people of the Elmwood town

No,no,no,no,no

He can't let that happen, many of people's lives would be in danger if that's the case and he can't let that happen

He hurriedly walked towards the kitchen where he saw her hiding, hoping she would be there and didn't get away

The kitchen's lights were off and he was sure it's her doing because he didn't remember switching the light off

He went to turn on the light, but halted feeling an ominous presence looming behind him, that confirmed that she didn't go anywhere and was still in his house

What a relief

He streched his hands to turn on the lights but his wrists were grabbed by the criminal, Hazel gulped down the lump in his throat, not really expecting anything good

He felt her aura getting closer to him untill she was practically invading his personel space,

she stood beside him her hands grabbing his wrist that were streched towards the light switch, her hot breath fanning his ears as his heart grappled with fear

His eyes wide and his breathing uneven, he tried to free his wrists from her death grip but wasn't able to, he shrunk back as she closed the little distance that they had

"Be honest" he heard her whisper in his ears, feeling her breath on his neck, his heartbeat increased hearing her husky low voice

"For even once, did you thought of giving my information away?" She husked close to his ears, feeling his hand trembling in her hold, a smirk made way to her dry lips

Hazel shook his head, his curls swaying as he did, brushing against her face who scrunched away, eyes closing on its own but she didn't fail to take on the sweet scent of lavenders that hit her nose along with his hairs

That somehow calmed her down

She sighed

Letting go of his wrist she stepped back, watching as he didn't make any movement and his hands still stayed mid air infront of the switch board

She rolled her eyes, stepping forward and switching the lights on which she herself had turned off to conceal herself in the kitchen

Hazel took his hands back once he noticed the lights were already on, his Hazel eyes glanced at the woman who stood there, her arms crossed against her chest

For sometime all they shared was silence, Hazel looking down at the concrete floor while the other can't seem to look anywhere other than him

"You know it's honestly so boring" she finally spoke, cutting the silence between them and making Hazel confused

He narrowed his eyes at her

"It's thrilling but not at the moment" Hazel's confusion deepened as he wondered what was she trying to say exactly but didn't make a move to ask her anything

"The way you are scared of me when I didn't even touch a hair on your head" she proceeded but the words that caught Hazel's attention most was the 'didnt even touch a hair' part

Does she have a short term memory loss?

Or she is simply just sick in the head?

Hazel frowned thinking about her action when he saw her down in his basement, when he went to see why the lights went off

The audacity to say that she didn't do anything to him

Busy in his thoughts, he didn't realise that he was frowning at the woman infront of him, who shrugged her shoulders, finally getting reminded of what she did down there in the basement

"My point still stands,I didn't touch your hair, just my knife touched your neck a bit" she stated, clearly unbothered by his gaze

"Anyways, bring over the food, am starving" she uttered already making a beeline to the living room, Hazel watched her, glaring holes at her head

She halted and turned around to find him near the stove, ready to resume what he paused before

"And one more thing" she started, getting his attention in an instant

"Do not ever think of getting rid of me, you are stuck with me for as long as I want, and if you so much even think of informing anyone about me...." she paused, one corner of lips turning upwards watching raw fear in his eyes

"Trust me, you wouldn't want to witness the other side of me..that makes me the most wanted, so I would recommend you to stay on my current side, it's good for your health" she smiled, her playful persona taking over again and her aura returned to normal

Hazel watched her skipping to the living room as if nothing happened moments ago
