"It was you the whole time?" I almost yelled at him.
"Who else you wanted it to be then, peach?" He husked coming closer to me.
"All those creepy texts, were from you?" I felt relieved after a long time, after knowing it was him.

As soon as I heard the plane was about to land, I got myself together.
The plane finally landed. It felt like stepping into the opening pages of an unwritten adventure, a mix of excitement, anticipation, and curiosity swirling around me as I explore the unknown.
Papa has already bought a house for me, I did resist with this idea, but nobody in my house listened to me.
I had always wanted to be an independent woman, building her own life from scratch, but everything comes with it's own pros and cons, for me, being a rich kid had its cons too.
I rushed to airport, finally called my mum. She picked it up in one go.
"Are you out of your little brain, Virika?" She yelled, literally yelled.
"I am sorry mumma, I didn't realise I was lost." I apologized. I almost broke down in tears. Realising I did not even get a chance to say bye to them, it hurt me alot in my heart.
"But I did manage to get in the flight at the right time." I hid the part where I was almost kidnapped.
"We were so worried, Viru." As these words came from the other end, an alone tear escaped my eye.
"I-i am sorry, please mumma, Meko wapis aana hai." I sobbed.
"Viri, let this thought get out of your mind. Go and settle yourself down in the house, I am sending you the location." She seemed gloomy.
"Ah, nahi please" I requested.
"No, I won't be listening to your pleas." She demanded.
"Fine." I negotiated.
I took out my luggage, I knew it was mine as I had tied a cute little pink bow around the handle.
As soon as I held the handle of the suitcase, my phone vibrated, I lifted it up and saw my mother's notification ping up. She sent me the location. Too quick she is. I was suddenly struck with the realisation, that none will handle my tantrums, care for me like my mother does. A heat wave ran through my nerves.
I got out of the terminal and opened my phone, to book a cab. I saw Ann Arbor's map despite of Chandigarh's map.
Even my phone was now slapping reality checks at my cheeks.
I filled the location. I was waiting for my uber to arrive. I scrolled on Instagram, even my fyp knew my exact situation. "Fuck it" I rambled under my breath.
In that time, my uber had arrived. I sat in the car. Told my pin to the driver.
The driver was a bit old, he seemed so genuine. He knew I was an abroad student, he must be encountering many students like me.
He tried his best to give me the basic information about the city, and how things work here. I was so overwhelmed by his sweet nature snd generosity.
