The bar was bustling with music, the clinking of glasses, and the soft murmurs of people in the background. Jaemin glanced around nervously, his heart racing with anticipation as he waited for Yeona to arrive.

He fidgeted with the coaster beneath his glass, trying to calm his nerves as he replayed their conversation in his mind. He usually wasn't nervous at all when it came to first dates but he knew it would be different with Yeona. From the moment they met she was captivating, confident and witty. He almost felt worried that he couldn't match up to it. And that was a first for Na Jaemin.

"Hey daddy" a voice whispered directly into his ear making him jump and move away. Yeona let out a chill chuckle with a smile on her face as she walked around him and propped herself up onto the bar stool he had saved for her while he recovered.

"Hey" he said simply with a nervous laugh. it's only been a second so far and she had managed to get his heart racing with the hair on the back of his neck standing up.

"Sorry, I couldn't help myself" she shrugged with a smile and he cleared his throat, realising their date had already begun and there was no point in feeling anxious about it now

"What would you like to drink?" Jaemin asked, releasing his tense shoulders a little. She hummed as her eyes travelled towards the menu across the bar while his eyes remained on her, taking in the beauty he just couldn't help but appreciate.

Her ginger hair lit up in different tones under the neon lights, but not even the darkest of places could hide how perfect she looked at this very moment. He swore his breath caught in his throat as her eyes turned back to his, catching him off guard. And when his eyes travelled down to the knowing smirk growing on her lips, he turned away and let out a light cough.

"Pornstar martini" she said, flashing a somewhat innocent smile while her voice held nothing but mischief.

"Yeah...of course" he said slowly, as her words registered in his head, not failing to make him crack a smile regardless of the tips of his ears growing red.

"One pornstar martini and another lime soda please" Jaemin ordered to the bartender, sliding his empty glass that was covered with beads of condensation over the bar top. Yeona let out a light scoff as she propped her elbows onto the counter, making him turn his head to her

"Just a soda?" She asked with slight disbelief and he responded with a sympathetic smile

"I've got work tomorrow" he replied simply and she shook her head, looking back to the bartender who waited patiently for an update

"He'll have a whiskey sour, thanks" she smiled, causing him to shift nervously in his seat. Her aura was already quite dominating, which he wasn't exactly used to given that his persona always outshines the latter in situations like this. However, it was still a date, it was natural for him to want to take the lead regardless.

"So Yeona...did you get up to much today?" He asked, he didn't exactly know what answer he was expecting when she answered him.

"Nothing much really, I practiced a bit in the studio and had a few classes after" She said, making his throat run dry at her answer, and she chuckled as she watched his smile falter slowly

"I'm a professional dancer, so I have to like attend ballet classes in my academy" she corrected her previous statement and his mouth formed an 'O' shape as he took in the information. Now that was really and answer he wasn't expecting from her. Was it really that rare in this world to meet people who actually follow their dreams in life?

"Wow...that's--"

"Childish right? I guess I should've chosen a better job than--"

"Admirable." He butted in. Her lips remained parted as the words of self criticism dissipated into thin air. He looked back at her with a small smile growing on his pretty face, lighting his eyes up in the process to show his genuine opinion.

"I think it's pretty admirable. Not everyone has it in them to follow their dreams for a living" Jaemin said simply, but she still sat there frozen, not knowing how to respond to such positivity. Usually when she opened up about her career people her age would assume she was going to fail and drop it eventually, that she would grow out of a phase and eventually come to realise that the world demanded a proper job to maintain a livelihood of security. She was immediately stuck up and privileged for even having the opportunity to make a living out of it. And naturally, she started thinking that way too.

"The first thing we ask kids from such a young age is what they want to be when they grow up. They'll say things like an astronaut, a famous footballer or an actress. And then the education system wipes it all out of them and they just become...ordinary. It's nice to know some people actually do follow through with it" he explained further, causing her to relax a little bit as her shoulders slumped down. She never really thought about it that way.

"So what about you?" She asked, shifting the attention to him and he raised his eyebrows in confusion

"What did you want to be?" She asked and he let out a light chuckle

"Hmm...maybe a psychologist? Like my dad" Jaemin said simply, although the answer was far more complicated than that.

"I see...that's why you're reading into me so much already" she joked, making him scratch his hot pink ears nervously with a lopsided smile on his face

"I don't mean to" he replied and she shook her head lightly, shaking off his statement with a chuckle

"I don't mind...hmm I think I can read you pretty well too" she said and he straightened up, challenging her with his eyes to see if she could do a better job than him.

"Okay, if I get it right then the next round is on you as well" she said, and he nodded, even though he was planning to pay for it regardless

"You asked me on a date the first few minutes that we met which means you're confident, obviously when you look like that" she said, wishing she didn't add the last statement as he broke out into a laugh

"You came early to the date which shows that you care about making good first impressions and how people perceive you. You ordered a soda because you have work tomorrow so you're responsible, disciplined and set in your ways but you let me change your order without stopping me so you're also a bit of a people pleaser and can be swayed...by any chance are you an ISFJ?" She asked, a smile growing on her face as his eyes lowered a little, a blush creeping up to his cheeks as he turned to look away from her

"Did I get it right?" She asked and he let out a little laugh before grabbing the bartender's attention again

"Can we get another round?"
