Last NightDeep down in the vast crater within Nohr's capital city Windmire, the towering dark Castle Krakenburg stood proud, as it has over the generations. However, the occupants inside have been subjected to unrest. Nearly an hour ago, the court wizard and vizier: Iago was teleported into the throne room on the brink of death.
Nearly all the bones in the wizards right hand were crushed, while his left forearm had been taken off entirely. Not only that, but his jaw was an utter mess; a jumbled heap of flesh with bony protrusions sticking out the skin.
The royal physicians did their best, wrapping the amputated arm in gauze, and putting iron casts on his arm and jaw. And using health potions and healing magic on top of all that, but not too much, as they were worried that the bone may heal incorrectly, and be stuck in a permanent jagged state. Still, they were uncertain if Iago will ever recover to the man he once was. Now the wizard slept in the medical ward of the castle, slumbering on a bed under the influence of the Sleep spell one of the physicians casted.
However the worst thing about this tragedy, is that no one knows what has happened to the wizard. Many have suggested the Sheikah, but the more knowledgeable disagree, as the Sheikah are more pacifistic than the other elf races. The crown prince: Xander knew this, discussing the incident with a butler named Jakob, as they walked down the one of castle's corridors.
Xander: I just don't understand it.
The prince said, still in disbelief of the whole ordeal.
Xander: I've met the Sheikah personally. Yes, they did have Guardians patrolling the village, but this is beyond what any machine could do.
Jakob: Often times, when someone is pushed as far as they can, they are bound to fight back.
Xander: Yes. But to do this...
He gestures his hand forward as if the injured Iago was in front of them.
Xander: There has to be another factor at play here.
Suddenly, the whole castle shook, as a crash of stone and debris was heard outside. Xander and the butler fell to the floor, losing their balance from the quake.
Rooooooar!
Xander picked his head up, hearing the monstrous roar.
Xander: That roar! A wyvern!?
The prince asked, picking himself off the floor. Suddenly, a terrified guard ran around the corner at the end of the hall.
Guard: My prince! Thank the gods!
The guard said, rushing to Xander.
Xander: What was that?! What happened!?
Guard: Your Highness, one of the spires has been sieged by a wyvern, black as night. The shadows around it... they were... I don't know how-
Xander: Shadows?
Xander asked, stopping the guard's stuttering. The prince's heart began to race with worry, thinking of who the culprit might be.
Xander: What spire did it attack?!
Guard: The east one. My prince, the eldest princess' room is-
Stricken with worry Xander ran past the guard and down the hall, looking for the nearest door outside. Finally coming across a double door, he busted through and stepped onto the balcony, looking towards the night sky. It was faint, but he can barely make out a black shape momentarily blotting out the stars as it flapped its wings, flying further and further from the castle. And in its claws, he can see a familiar figure, much to his horror.
