Nicki
Today was my baby girl, Brooklyn's first day back to school. She's been missing a couple days due to suspensions & shit. She only gets suspended when she goes stay with her father bc she knows I don't play that shit.
"If I have to come up here today from work, I'm gonna beat your ass in front of your classmates & im not playing. This is the last time I should be coming up here to bring you to school. Next time I'm gonna let them send you to alternative school." I said as she smacked her lips. "Whatever yo. Thanks for the ride. I'll call you if I need you." She said getting out slamming my door.
She's just like me when I was her age. She's currently 16 years old & thinks the world revolves around her. Not only do I not play with her, but her basketball coach doesn't either. Which I'm fine with that as long as she doesn't try to touch my child.
Let me give y'all a little backstory about me. My name is Onika but everyone calls me Nicki or Nika. I am 32 years old, & yes I had Brook when I was 16. I have only one child which is Brooke. Her father & I got divorced 4 years ago & life has been great every since then. Oh & im a pediatrician so I work with children from newborns to 18 years old. But back to the story.
Once I dropped Brooklyn off, I headed to work. I only had one today so I was already prepared get there & get it over with.
When I walked in my office, I noticed Coach Carter was sitting in the waiting room. I looked at my list & they were first so I sighed.
"Blue Ivy Carter?" I asked looking down at my list. Once I got them situated, I took her weight & height. Then I took her into a room.
"So ladybug, what seems to be the problem today?" I asked. "Um, I've been having tummy aches & I haven't been feeling like myself lately." Blue said as I nodded. I looked over at Beyoncé & she was in her phone. I just rolled my eyes & looked back at my computer screen. "Blue can you tell me when was your last period?" I asked as she shook her head. "It's irregular bc I'm on birth control remember?" She said as I nodded. "Okay, looks like here you have 4 refills that you have yet to pick up. So I'll assume you haven't been taking them as often as I prescribed you to. You know this is very serious Blue, you can't just take them for a week then stop, then have unprotected sex. It doesn't work that way. But I'm gonna take you to this room across from this one. Here take this cup & go in the bathroom & pee in it." I said as she sighed & nodded.
Once I got her into the other room, she went in the bathroom & did what I asked her too. "Sit in here for me. I'll be back in like 10 minutes. I have to run tests on you." I said as she nodded. "You want your mom back here with you?" I asked as she shook her head quickly. "No I'm fine by myself. She didn't wanna be here anyways." She said fidgeting with her fingers. "Where's your phone?" I asked. She has it with her all the time so I was surprised not to see it. "I forgot it in my mom's purse. Can you get it for me?" She said as I nodded.
I walked in the room to where Coach Carter was & she was still looking in her phone. "So is she pregnant?" She asked as I shrugged. "I haven't ran the test yet, she actually asked for her phone. She said you had it in your purse." I said. She dug in her purse & handed it to me. "Come back, I have to talk to you about something." She said as I nodded. I'll just let the ladies in the lab run her tests then. I gave her the phone & took her samples to the lab.

I waited on Nicki to come back. It took what felt like forever for her lil ass to come back. "Sorry, I had to take care of something else. But what's up?" She said as I just looked at her. She looks so good. Like how can someone be that fucking fineeeee? I hate I fumbled her ass. Hopefully I can get another chance from her soon.
"Nun I just waited to talk to you bc it seem as if you don't know me anymore." I said as she just giggled. "I mean we have no reason to talk anymore, & you kicked Brooke off the team remember?" She said as I smacked my lips. "See actually I didn't kick her off the team. I told her that if she got in trouble once again, that she'd be off the team. & she's so dramatic so ofc she's gonna twist my words. Her & Blue asses get in my damn nerves. All I hear everyday is bestie this & bestie that. Like damn." I said as she giggled again. "Well I mean at least you know they love each other right?" She said as I nodded.
"I miss you." I said as she sighed. "Bey...." She started off as I cut her off. "Let me finish. I miss you Nic. Ian been the same since our lil situation. I didn't like the way it ended at all. It was my fault & ima take all credibility for it. I shoulda never let her come between us. I'm sorry Nicki." I said as she just nodded. "Yeah I know, but that was years ago. We weren't a thing at the time either. So I rlly couldn't get mad at you. But I didn't like how you tried to play me. That's why I stepped back from you. But I can't lie I miss you too. But we have to be professional. For the sake of the children." She said as I nodded. "I respect that." I said.
"The results are in Mrs. Maraj." A younger lady said as Nicki nodded. "Mrs? I thought you was divorced." I said. "I am. & don't be minding my business bc last time I checked, you still have your ex husband's last name boo." She said as I just nodded. I couldn't say shit back cause she was right. "Ima let you have that one Mrs. Maraj." I said as she laughed. "I'll be back with her results." She said as I nodded. I really hope this lil fast ass girl isn't pregnant.

I checked her test's & everything was negative. Except one thing. I sighed & shook my head. I walked into Blue's room first & I saw her looking down at her phone smiling.
"I hope the same little boy that's making you laugh, knows how to take care of a baby. I'm so disappointed in you Blue Blue. But it's okay, do you want me to tell Bey or do you want me to tell her?" I said as she just shrugged. "I mean you can tell her. She kinda already knows & I know that the both of you are disappointed. I'm really sorry I should've took my pills like you said. You always knows best. I just wished momma wouldn't have done that to you, maybe I wouldn't be in this situation." She said as I just sighed. "What do you mean by that last thing you said?" I asked. "Well every since you & momma stopped talking, she's been acting all sad & shi- sorry. I asked her what's wrong & she'd tell me to leave her alone or to stay out her business. So when I finally did decide to leave her alone, I came home pregnant." Blue said as I shook my head.
"Blue listen to me. You are 17 years old. You are a junior in school. You are way smarter than this. Whenever she told you those things, you should've called me & I would've talked to her. No matter how bad I was mad at her, I would've talked to her for you. This ain't her fault for you being pregnant. This was your decision to lay down & make this baby. Now you know what you have to do. You're gonna have this baby & you're gonna raise him/her the best way you can. You're a mother now, it's time to quit all this childish ass shit. Now I'll be back with your release papers. First I have to tell Beyoncé." I said as she just nodded. "Will you help me through it?" She asked as I nodded. "Ofc. Bey & I will come together to help you." I said as she smiled.
I went back to the room where Bey was sitting & she was talking to some girl who worked with me. "Excuse me." I said as they looked up at me. "Oh sorry, I was asking her about the new basketball season." The girl said as I fake smiled. "Mhmmmmmmmm. Get back to work please." I said as she nodded & walked out quickly. "Was she asking ab the game or was she like me & was only tryna fuck?" I asked being funny. "Don't play with me." She said rolling her eyes. "Nobody's playing. I just wanted to fuck you." I said as she just nodded. "That's not what I heard when we finally did fuck. I heard I love you's, you're the best, & all types of freaky shit." She said as I just blushed. "I was dumb okay." I said as she laughed. "Yeah & I was dumber then." She said.
"& I guess that makes me the dumbest." We heard Blue say as we turned towards the door, where she was standing. "What are you talking about?" Bey asked as I just stood there. "Um bey, she has something to tell you." I said. I heard Blue sigh & I nodded to her, letting her know it's okay. "Ma i know you're gonna be disappointed in me but I mean things happen. Just know I love you & I know you did all you could to protect me & guide me in life." Blue said as Beyoncé cut her off. "Blue just tell me what it is." She said. "I'm pregnant." Blue said as Beyoncé looked at me for reassurance as I nodded.
