Chapter 1.

Today was a very important day. The 1st day of high school. I wanted to look exquisite for my 1st day. So I painted my lips with a red cherry color. And made my eyes glimmer with a little bit of nude eye shadow mixed with some glitter. And painted A black mole right above my lips. Not to mention, I also put on some mascara. My favorite rose perfume. And I read the newspaper while eating bacon-and-eggs. It was odd. News reading for today. My.
Dad's car shop got closed down. For not passing the inspection. You may be wondering how it made it to the newspaper. Well, his shop has been around for quite a while. It was originally owned by his father, and he took over when his father died. I cleaned up my silverware and washed my dishes in the sink. I picked up my bag and put on some cute little high heels. But before I went to school, I said a little prayer. Then I was off to school. And on the way, these kids from my middle school are going to the same high school, and I couldn't believe my eyes. They always used to tease about my pig tails. And Orange super curly hair.  They always used to say baba white sheep. And make sheep noises. It was an awful middle school year. So yeah, I saw them riding on their bicycles to school. I was hoping they didn't know who I was since it's been so long. But then they knew exactly who I was. They said, "Oh, look, everyone. It's Baba white sheep.  And then they made sheep noises. They giggled and kept going to school on their bicycles. You may be wondering why they called me that. It's a nickname that they use because I'm such a Goody 2 shoes. But I kept going on my walk to school. But I ran into my old best friend who ghosted me after middle school. Her name was Jessica. We were very good friends. So it kind of caught me off guard when I saw her. I didn't know she was gonna come to my high school. I kind of thought she moved away. So I just said Hey, Jessica,"I never saw you after middle school. Are you okay? But she responded with. Yeah, what's it to you?  And then she just went off to school. Don't you agree that was so rude? Anyways, if she doesn't wanna be my friend who even cares. That's the kind of attitude. I was just thinking so that I could keep going on with my 1st day. Finally, I made it to school. There were so many kids in front of the doorways to the entrance. The principal was standing outside, making an announcement to kids arriving in their parents. Okay, everyone gather around! The principal said. So me and the other kids and their parents except for mine. Of course, gathered around. Now that you're all listening. I have a very important exciting announcement for you all. If you would like to sign your kids up, We are having basketball and cheerleading. Try out in the next 2 weeks. The papers and sign ups are in my office after school. Any ways that is all I wanted to say now. Come on in to school, everyone, for your 1st day or your day back. So basically, every kid rushed past me. Almost knocked me over running into school. Every girl started talking about summer camp. And all that jazz. The boys
  were talking about sports and girls they like. But I decided I'm new to this school. Cause I just got out of middle school, not that long ago. So I started making friends. I went up to these girls who clearly are popular. Hi, I'm aniqua. I knew I had just gotten out of middle school. Not that long ago. It's nice.
To meet you. What's your girl's name? If you don't mind telling me. And then they just proceeded to giggle. Look, little loner, girl. We're not here to be friends with you. We've already got our own pack. So maybe you could go hang out with the little nerds who love science? Maybe you'll have something in common, geek. And then they laughed. And then I just walked away, really trying hard not to cry. I finally found my locker. And put in the code, put my books inside. But then, when I was backing up, I backed up into this boy. Oh my goodness. I'm so sorry. I was a total accident. No, no, that's fine.It's my fault for not watching where I was going. Okay, well, what classes do you have? Sorry, I kind of need friends. I'm new to high school. No worries on Theodore Shelton, you? Oh, I'm aniqua. And is that like a 2 1st name thing? Why are you called Theodore Shelton? Just to think that everyone calls me. Oh, cool. Can I just call you Theodore for Short? Yeah, I don't mind. So what classes do you have? I think I have biology. And then I have mathematics.  And then I think I have p.e Darnet, PE is not my favorite. Well, I actually like p.e Wait, really, I didn't think girls in the 1950s with even like that. Well, I do. There's something wrong with that? No, no, please. I'm not that kind of person. Well, anyway, see you around. Yeah, you too. So then I just kept on walking to my classes. This day couldn't get any better. I bumped into Jessica. She scoffed and kept walking. So I just ignored that. And I just kept going on with my day. That's end of day one.
