You were sipping on a glass of wine as you scowered Connoric's book collection. While doing so, you could hear the sound of kissing behind you as you can't help but to become easily distracted. You won't admit it, but you've might of drunk too much while the two were at work today putting you in a.. mood you suppose. It was as if you were trying to heal yourself though the dark substance would just spill out the cracks of your mentality. In general, you've been avoiding in talking to them in case they would notice, so you find yourself quickly choosing one and taking a seat by the fire. Valentine pulls away from Connoric as he calls you over stating he needed your touch.
" I really don't feel like loving Valentine. I'm not mad or anything. Just.. I don't know."
You're trying your best to seem sober.
" Are you okay?"
" Yea. I'm fine. Just don't feel like being touched is all."
The two go silent for a moment having noticed how you distant yourself lately. You could hear Valentine shuffle to the ground, and you feel his legs on either side of you. You literally just said... fine you guess.
" Let's read together. I promise not to hold you up."
" Okay if you want."
Connoric also came to your side eloping his arm with your useless one. You're met with silence as you three go page after page, and you eventually find yourself leaning into Valentine. Maybe he knew you needed this to warm your cold heart. You finished your glass and just stared at how perfect it was. You wanted more, but you come to terms you finished the bottle as well as you're barely keeping it together. For Gods sake, the words have been a blur this whole time, and you have no idea what's going on while you try to interpret the phrases-
" Y/n? Are you done?"
" Um. Yes. Sorry."
You place the glass down, and he attempts to turn the page. You immediately flip it back with a sigh.
" I meant with drinking. Not the page."
You sounded... blunt. Monotoned. This is how you usually acted like in the past, and you sometimes wish you could return to her. She was so much stronger you feel like, but now, you're weak. You honestly wouldn't mind a spar right now even through you were a hopeless drunk. Your hands shake as you turn the page, and Connoric grabs a hold of it.
" How are you feeling?"
" Alright I suppose. It could be better. Just.. I don't like who I am right now."
" I meant your arm. You're shaking."
Connoric grabs at your chin to force you to face him, and you jerked away not really needing that right now. Valentine closes the book as he snakes his arms around you.
" I need to buy bookmarks."
" Your changing the subject."
" I'm..," you start laughing," I'm not trying to you. I'm.."
You sighed as you tilt your head back. Connoric kisses you cheek before speaking.
" Is this about your arm and eye?"
" Yea. I think I've drank too much too."
" Why don't all three of us go lay down, okay?"
You just nod stumbling a you stand. Connoric puts a guiding hand to your back wondering how much you drank, but he doesn't ask.
" I'm sorry for drinking while taking care of Clem-."
" It's fine-."
" I'm sorry I got those Seedlings killed."
