Chapter 14

Nkenchi goes to get his phone and calls Sam. Sam's phone was still in the room, he left it. Nkenchi curses under his breath and calls Pablo. Pablo picked up, "Hello?" Pablo said. "ImadeSammadonaccidentandnowhe'sgonaandIdon'tknowwhattodobecauseIneedtoapoligizabutIdon'tknowwhereheis!!!!" Nkenchi yells into the phone on the verge of tears. "Woah, calm down and slow down." Pablo said. Nkenchi started crying and sniffling. "What happened?" Pablo asked. Nkenchi told the kids to go do something in the other room for a minute, "S-So, me and Sam had sex a few hours ago and I can't really walk right now and he was laughing at m-me and I told him to stop b-because it was his f-fault I couldn't walk and he said "How is it my fault? Do you have proof?" a-and I said that I didn't fuck myself and they kids were in the room and he got angry and I-I tried to play it off and he got really mad and teleported somewhere and I didn't mean t-to!!" He explained, crying more once he finished. Pablo sighs and tries to think. "Where would he even be?! HelefthisphoneheresoIcan'tcallhimeitherandI'mreallyworriedcuzwhatifhedoessomethingdum!?!??!!" "calm down" "I can't fucking calm down Pablo!!!" "CALM DOWN, if I get you a wheelchair, will you go look for him?!" "Yea! Yea, come fast!!" Pablo hangs up and comes over with a wheelchair as fast as he could. Nkenchi gets in the wheelchair and thanks Pablo, rolling away to go find Samuel. Samuel was at the park, forced to kiss someone, crying. Nkenchi looked around and saw Samuel kissing said person "S-Sammy...?" Nkenchi said quietly, barely loud enough for Sam to hear. Samuel pushed the person off. "Nkenchi i can explain!" Samuel said, crying more. Nkenchi started to cry and turned his wheelchair around, rolling back to the hotel. Samuel walks over. "Nkenchi please, I'm sorry!" Sam said. Nkenchi didn't look back, just continued to go to the hotel and eventually getting to the room, sobbing. Samuel tried talking through the locked door but was dragged by the person. Nkenchi looked for his phone and called Gray, Andi, Pablo, and Izzy. They all pick up, "hi Nkenchi!" "Did you find him dude?" Pablo said. "He cheated on me..." Nkenchi said quietly, sniffling. "WHAT!!!!!" Gray yelled, pissed. "I found him and the park and he was kissing some dude..." Nkenchi said, his voice cracking a little. Gray was so pissed right now that Izzy had to put hers and his phone down and calm him down. "He was outside the door but I don't hear him anymore now..." Nkenchi sniffled. "I wish I could say that he'd never cheat but um...he has a few times on different people..." Pablo said. Nkenchi went silent, then started bawling, his phone dropping on the floor. "So he's a fucking player?!" Gray yelled. "Oh my stars... I'm sorry Nkenchi, do you wanna come over here?" Izzy said, Nkenchi sniffed "No, the kids are still here and I don't wanna come over there If I can't really protect them from anything that might happen..." Gray sighs, "Just...let us know if anything happens again, ok?" Gray Said. "Okay..." Nkenchi said, "Thanks for trying to help..." "anything for our favorite person" Gray said. Nkenchi smiled and thanked them again, hanging up the phone and putting his head against the door, starting to cry again. Little did Nkenchi know that Samuel was crying, in pain because the person who took him was hurting him. A few months passed and Nkenchi went out to go look for food and more supplies. Samuel was running from zombies and sees Nkenchi and runs over and hugs him, crying, trying not to squish the baby in the hug. Nkenchi jumps and groans, pushing Sam off of him. Samuel looked like shit, he was covered in cuts and bruises everywhere and was hella tired. Nkenchi looked at him, grimaced and walked away. "Nkenchi...please...." Samuel said, weak as hell. "You're not my problem anymore. Why are you even here, go back to the dude you decided to cheat on me with." Nkenchi rolled his eyes and continued walking. "I NEVER LIKED HIM!! HE FORCED ME!" Samuel yelled, crying more. Nkenchi turned to look at him "What...?" "H-he forced me to kiss him, i never wanted to cheat on you." Samuel said, shaking. "How the hell do I know you're not lying? Even Pablo said you've cheated before so how do I know that wasn't just you doing it again?" Nkenchi interrogated, glaring at Sam. Samuel then went into his pocket and tossed a small box to Nkenchi, "I wanted to do this after i take the kids to waterfall but my anger issues got the best of me and I left so I didn't hurt you and then that's when everything went down." Samuel said, head hanging low. Nkenchi raised a brow and opened the box, his eyes widening and he put a hand over his mouth, taking the ring out. "Sammy... I-" "I understand if you say no and never want to see me again but i wanted to at least try....try to make this better again..." Nkenchi's eyes started to water and he put the ring on, running to hug Sam and trying his best not to squish the baby. "Yes. Yes a million times yes." Nkenchi smiled. "I'm sorry... For not listening and not believing you..." Samuel tenses up and starts crying and hugs back, then passes out from the lack of sleep and how bad of a condition his body was. Nkenchi picks him up and takes him back to the hotel which wasn't too far. Samuel was wearing shorts, an oversized t-shirt and the collar Nkenchi got him, his whole body covered in scars, old and new, bruises and burn marks. Nkenchi knocked on the door of Grey and Izzy's house, praying someone was there. Gray opens the door, "what's- ....why is he here?" Gray said, sternly. "I'll explain in a minute, just let me in so I can help him, Grayson." Nkenchi said. Gray sighed and moved out the way. Nkenchi wrapped up Sam's cuts and bruises, explaining to Grey the situation and what had happened at the same time. Gray was hella confused, "I'm sorry, can you repeat that please?" Gray said. "He didn't want to. He was forced to and he finished telling me, threw me a ring, and passed out." Nkenchi said again. "Forced to what?" "The guy he kissed, forced Sammy to kiss him and then when Sam tried to come back to the hotel and explain, said dude dragged him away." "oh...why would the guy want Sam, he's pregnant..." "I don't know" Nkenchi said, shrugging, picking Sam up and laying him comfortably on the couch as he finished patching him up. Samuel starts waking up, in pain. Nkenchi looked over "Good morning baby" He leaned down and kissed Sam's forehead. Samuel looks around, seems to be thinking about something. "What's wrong?" Nkenchi asked. "Hm oh nothing, just...looking..." Sam said quietly. "Oh, okay." Nkenchi says, going back to talking to Gray about whatever. Samuel stays close to Nkenchi. Nkenchi looked at him and scratched his head "What's wrong? Why are you being so clingy all of a sudden?" Nkenchi laughed. "Well maybe cause he was accused for cheating, dragged by a guy that seems like a Yandere, what looks like he was abused and almost left before he proposed and finally got back he wanted, I'd say the guy made him clingy" Gray said. "Oh, that makes sense-" Nkenchi said, putting a hand on Sam's waist and letting Sam cling to him. Sam was really quiet but never let go. A few hours later, Sam and Nkenchi went back to the hotel and Nkenchi knocked on the door "Eri, Kota! Open up, it's me!" Eri ran to the door and unlocked the door and opened it. Nkenchi smiled and picked her up "Hi sweetheart!" "Hi Dad!! Papa's here too!!!" Eri said happily. "Yea I know!" He said happily, spinning her around. Eri then starts to giggle. Nkenchi put Eri down and picked up Sam, walking in and closing the door with his foot, laying Sam down on the bed and covering him with an extra fluffy blanket he'd found. Sam smiled softly, humming a little, falling asleep. Nkenchi smiled and went to go cook some food for when he woke up. "What happened to Papa?" Eri asked. "A really bad man took him and hurt him so his body is using his energy to heal him." Nkenchi explained while he cut some vegetables. "Didn't you go and find him that one day but came back crying and stuff?" Eri Asked. "Yea, but that's because when the bad guy took him, he made Papa do something and I thought that he didn't love me anymore." Nkenchi said. "If papa didn't love you anymore wouldn't he have tolded you?" "Sometimes when people don't love other people anymore they don't tell them and go love someone else behind they're back. That's called cheating and that's not good; that's what I thought Papa did." "Papa really loves you tho, he would never cheat on you" "Yea I know, but i've been cheated on before tho so when I saw that it was kind of hard for me to believe otherwise." "Can I tell you something that papa told me? It's about his past" "Sure honey" Nkenchi said, intrigued. "Papa said that me and Papa are the same, He said that we were both in a lab, i grew up in one and he said he was a test tube baby i think, Papa had this person that was his father figure in the lab but he did very bad things to papa then Papa's father figure died falling into his own creation called the core think that's what he said anyways but Papa said that we were both born as weapons and never really had a childhood." "Oh... I never knew that. About either of you..." "Not a lot of people do, I was used to make powers disappear and Papa was use for the wars back then, Papa said that the government never let him leave since he's so powerful, he was used as a military weapon, They trained him, turning him into a weapon, for justice they said, they had their weapon, Papa got cheated out of his childhood." Nkenchi didn't say anything because he genuinely didn't know what to say to that. The man he loved most never got to do any of the things that people considered normal because of some bastards that thought keeping him for their own benefit was more important than the childhood that so many people took for granted. "Wow..." Nkenchi said quietly. "He also said this 'Remember Eri, if somebody tells you the government won't do that, oh yes they would" "Isn't that the truth..." Nkenchi mumbled, finishing making the food and setting it down on the counter. Eri sigh, "I think Papa had the worst childhood out of all of us, I had parents, so did you and Kota, Papa was born in a tube, he only had one father figure, he doesn't know what a mom is!" Eri said, sad. "Yea, Samarillo had the worst childhood it sounds like... And I didn't have two parents, my dad left. I did have a mom though, if you can even call her that." Nkenchi said. Eri sighs again, looking at the sleeping Samuel. "Did you know Papa had angel wings at one point?" Eri said, still looking at Samuel. "He did?" Nkenchi asked. "Yea, Someone saw them and cut them off to sell them. All he has left is his Halo, devil horns, and tail." Eri Said. Nkenchi looked back at Samuel too, wondering what else he'd been through. "That's all I know but I can tell he's hiding more somewhere but is too scared to say." Eri said. "Yea, I can tell too. He'll tell us in his own time though." Nkenchi said softly, "You hungry? I made beef stew-" "I saw something called happy pills in the drawer with papa's name on it and yes please" Nkenchi made Eri a bowl of stew and went in the drawer to find the pills. He indeed found a full bottle of Happy pill as well as a knife and a never used rope with a noose. Nkenchi felt a lump in his throat as he took the things out. He went to discard the rope and put the knife and pills in his bag. Samuel then starts to wake up, smelling the food. Nkenchi took a deep breath, "Good morning sleepyhead, hungry?" Nkenchi asked in his best everything-is-perfectly-fine voice, which was actually really good. Samuel smiles a little and nods. Nkenchi makes Sam some stew and gives it to him, kissing his cheek and going to make Kota a bowl too. Samuel looks around, trying to see if anything else changed. Everything looked pretty much the same besides the fact the drawer was slightly opened. Samuel sees that and frowns a little, panicking and looks through it, trying to find his 3 things. Nkenchi realized what Sam was looking for and tensed up a bit, handing Kota his food then making himself some. "Looking for something?" "Yea! Someone took it out" Samuel said, getting more panicked. "Took what?" Nkenchi asked. Samuel froze, thinking on what to say. "Um" Samuel said. Nkenchi raised a brow. "N-nothing?" Samuel said, trying to cover up. "But you said someone took something?" "it's nothing important." Samuel said, chuckling nervously and leans back on the bed frame. "but you seemed so anxious when you noticed it was gone?" Nkenchi questioned. "Nkenchi, it's nothing, don't worry about it" Samuel said. "Okay then..." Nkenchi says, getting on his phone and eating his food. Samuel gets up and gets some stew quietly, his hands shaking a little too much. "Sammy, your hands are shaking, are you okay?!" Nkenchi asked. Samuel had to put the bowl down before he dropped it and tried to get them to stop. "Sammy, are you okay? You're not acting like it!" Nkenchi gets up and rubs Sam's back, grabbing one of his hands. Samuel starts crying, he was so used to the happy pill taking over that his emotions are everywhere. "Hey, hey, it's okay!" Nkenchi didn't expect him taking away Sam's pills to do this much to him, he gave Sam a hug. Sam was shaking badly, not knowing what to do anymore. Nkenchi picked Sam up and walked him back to the bed, sitting down and putting Sam on his lap. Nkenchi laid Samuel's head on his shoulder and hummed to him, rubbing his back. Eri and Kota were worried since they had never seen Samuel like this. Nkenchi sat there, rocking and humming to Samuel until he calmed down. Samuel was still crying a little but was a little better. Nkenchi looked down at him and cupped his face, wiping Sam's tears with his thumb. Samuel smiles a little and was feeling drained again. "Tired again?" Nkenchi asked softly, rubbing Sam's cheek with his thumb. Samuel nods, closing his eyes. "Are you still hungry or no, because if you are you have to eat a little more before you go to sleep. Samuel just shakes his head. "You sure?" Nkenchi asked. Samuel nods, "I'm sure" Sam said tiredly. Nkenchi nodded and pulled Sam closer, continuing to hum to him. Samuel then fell asleep. Nkenchi smiled and eventually fell asleep with him. Eri sighs and pulls the blanket over them and goes back to Kota.
