9th September 1943
Slughorn has invited me to join the Slug Club, which has various gatherings of his best students. He has also given me access to the restricted section again, but this time I have it for the entire school year. Rosier has joined as my follower, He was the hardest to persuade so far, being a bit sceptical of my blood status but a small example of parseltongue and he gave in.
30th October 1943
After deeply searching the restricted section I came across a book called 'The Secrets of the Darkest Arts', containing countless spells and curses. But I found one, in particular, a memory-preserving spell. Since the chamber can't be opened while I'm here, I have preserved my sixteen-year-old self in these pages, for the future owner to open the chamber with my help. After Hagrid left, Dumbledore has been keeping a close eye on me, I have spent most of my time in the library or the chamber, I may not be able to go through with my plan but that's not going to stop me from being in the chamber.
25th November 1943
I have spent the last 3 weeks reading every page in the book, it is filled with so many unique spells and curses, and as the book progresses each cure is worse than the one before. In its last few pages, it speaks of something called a Horcrux. "A dark spell for placing a fragment of one's soul within a target, tethering the caster to the mortal world, preventing death." It has all the information on it, from the incantation to the consequences and even how to repair one's soul after the curse, which is pointless, if it's that challenging to do why have a 'cure' to reverse all of the hard work? Having a Horcrux means I am protected should my body be destroyed I wouldn't die since it traps my soul from leaving the mortal world. But that's just one Horcrux, imagine how powerful I would be with more. Six perhaps, splitting my soul into seven the most magical number.
18th December 1943
Slughorn hosted a Christmas supper yesterday, and I along with some of my followers attended. I decided to stay behind and question Slughorn on the topic of Horcruxes, he wasn't helpful and said everything I already knew but he did confirm my belief that no wizard has ever made more than one Horcrux.

- Myrtle, my first kill. - My Diary
- T Riddle Sr, revenge for my mother - Gaunt ring
- Thomas Riddle, Stoping the Filthy Bloodline - Ravenclaw Diadem
- Mary Riddle, Stoping the Filthy Bloodline - Slytherin Locket
- Hebiza Smith, Hufflepuff descendant - Hufflepuff cup
- Harry Potter, prophesied hero - Sword of Gryffindor
- Bertha Jorkins, Ministry Hag - NaginiI have come to the decision that my Horcruxes shall only be made from significant murders with significant objects making them more powerful. There I have started making a list, where I will designate kills to certain horcruxes. I already have 4 parts, with my diary and the Gaunt ring as my first two Horcruxes, I need to find 4 more.
19th March 1944
After spending a month in the hospital wing I have decided to give myself a little more time to heal before making another Horcrux. I can see now why the other wizards only made one, but I am not weak in anything each Horcrux shows how powerful I am, I will make the ring a Horcrux next month before exams start.
21st August 1944
I was surprised to be appointed Head boy, considering Dumbledor doesn't trust me. This just means the other professors and the headmaster are all oblivious, no surprise since they did award me a special services award for capturing Hagrid, who they believed opened the Chamber of Secrets.
