I just finished texting Niki to meet me in front of the school after our last class. I grabbed my stuff from my locker before entering the classroom.

" OK class today's lesson is on algebraic formulas." Our teacher pointed to the board.

Every student started to groan including me, math wasn't hard for me but I just didn't want to do it. I sighed. I wish I was in music right now with Niki. We would have just been playing around instead of actually participating. But Niki had switched classes because he was too smart. I sighed once again. I'm just going to be on my phone this whole class I thought to myself. I checked my phone battery to see 32%. I started swiping on TikTok zoning out the teacher's voice.

" Y/N can you tell the class on how to calculate the area of a triangle." The teacher called out. All eyes fell on me.

" Umm you do regular area then divide it in half?" I responded

" Yes that's correct see you guys should pay attention in class like her ok." The teacher's finger pointing to all the students.

I felt guilty because I really didn't know what we were actually talking about. And he thought I was actually paying attention. But it's whatever I thought to myself before returning back on my phone.

A hour passed by while I was texting Niki. He had sent me a picture of him holding a violin. I texted him back saying how tired I was of this class.

" Just drop out of the class then." NIki simply texted back.

" Its high school not college stupid." I sent back with a annoyed emoji.

" Can you say you love me ." He sent. I was taken back at the message but started to text back before the teacher called out my name.

" Y/N are you paying attention." THe teacher head at a angle.

" Umm sure." I responded not actually sure.

" Umm ok then...'" He went off talking more.

I looked down at my phone seeing I had actually sent Niki " Umm.. sure." I guess I was holding down the microphone and had accidently sent it. I was about to delete the message or edit it but he had already seen it. I began texting that I didn't mean to send it that way but my phone died. I was mad at myself. I didn't want Niki to think I was trying to avoid it but I knew the teacher wouldn't let me charge my phone so I just went to sleep instead of thinking about his reaction.

NIKI POV:

Everyone in the band room was just messing around since our teacher gave up a break. I was texting my girlfriend. When i Jake appeared right behind me.

" Ohh look at you texting your girlfriend." He teased

" Yeah, yeah yes i am and what about it."

" Well you talk way more different on your phone then in real life." Jake glanced at my phone. I hid my phone on my chest.

" Well if you guys are so lovely dovey tell her to say i love you then." Jake bluffed. I knew if i gave it and she found out she would kill jake then me. But i did want to see what should would say so i said " Deal."

I began texting Y/N to say I love you. To her response she says " Umm.. sure"

" Yikes Niki." Jake patted my back before backing up.

" Maybe she's confused , i would be too if she asked me out of the blue to say i love you." I scratch my neck reassuring myself.

" Look she is texting right now." I watch as the bubbles appear on my phone. Jake came back closer. Then a second later they disappeared.

" Dang Niki Double yikes. Ill give you a moment" Jake backed up

l was so confused. Did she not love me? I tried hard to brush that thought out.

" Ok everyone , breaks over get into your pervious postions..." The teacher continued to speak but i couldnt help to overthink about her.

I waited at the schools gate for Niki. I tried to charge my phone in my free block but it was only at 30%. I anted to tell him in person so it wouldn't seem as weird. I looked around as all the other classmates and friends walked out the school. Behind the crowd I saw Niki. He had his hoodie on and was next to Jake clearing not listening to what he was saying. I guess he caught sight of me too because his pupils got bigger as he ran to me with a smile on his face.

" I miss you so much." Niki cupped my cheeks looking at my expression. I was honestly confused. Since If you leave him on read this man will do all in his will to ignore you.

" Sorry for not responding I was in the middle of a question and I must have accidentally sent it and my phon-" I got cut off my Niki pushing my head leaning our lips on each other. Releasing a small kiss.
I felt my body weakened and flustered. As we stood just looking in each other's eyes.

" Are you guys gonna stay here ?" Jake waved his hand in front of us. Scoffing as he walked off. We finally broke eye contact. As we walked in the direction of our neighborhood. I said hi to Niki's mom before heading to his room. I was so exhausted so I laid on his bed closing my eyes. I felt Niki come close to my face. He pecked my forehead and whispered the words.

" I love you."

AN- Omg I finally finished this chapter. So sorry for the delay. Every opportunity I had I just felt like if I wrote it wouldn't have that "love" or emotion in it. Me right now towards the end: 🤭😩😣🫦.
