The Onu-Matorans were naturally excited at the new prospect that Teuila and others brought with the notes from Mahuu and his hidden Hot Spring in Ko-Wahi. Some of the diggers considered there might be a whole network section of hot springs they could get access too. Whenua was also glad to know that they had made a small amount of progress in collecting the masks. He did confirm and was honored to see that they had indeed found the mythical Ice Crystal Mask and yes despite its name it's more crystal than ice. Though while it is pretty looking and interesting to hear the myth & lore about it, sadly it's nothing more than a fancy Matoran mask. Then again the Great & Noble Kanohi masks serve a much grander purpose than others, so having this one is still impressive by Matoran standards. "I do see the wisdom in what you tried to accomplish. Considering your Great Mask revealed the location of this one which led to the noble illusion mask you found, this lateral guide to find these masks seems to have paid off." He hands them back the Crystal mask.

"Are there rumors of other masks of any kind that you can tell us about?" Takua asks.

Whenua rubs his chin thinking for a moment, "Hmm...only a few minor stories that come from the surface, you would do better to ask others. The good & bad thing about living in our tunnels if there was a mask to be found down here we would have found it. And we simply can not just hollow out the entire island in the hope of finding a buried mask."

"He has a point, the shield mask hasn't glowed as bright when we were last down here. About the only place we haven't really visited is the Light Stone mine." Hali pointed out.

"With how brightly lit that place is I'm surprised noone found anything sooner." Hafu dismisses.

"Hey! Actually there is one place there that might not be as obvious. There's a huge lake pool area in the cave. And Hali did find the illusion mask underwater." Taipu points out.

"Sounds like you have a lead then. Good luck to you Chronicler & company." The Turaga of Earth bayed them farewell as they took their leave.

Taipu was the one who led the group through the tunnel that led to the Light stone mine. Walking the path where Takua once traveled via his lava board and to the cave itself. The area shined with a golden light everywhere. It was actually really beautiful. Everyone was in awe of it, even Taipu & Takua even though they've seen it before. "So many lightstones! We won't be running out any time soon. There's so many here it's almost too pretty to mine." Teuila complements.

"Over here guys!" Taipu waved to them and led them over to the underground lake area. "What do you think?"

"Only one way to be sure." Takua says as pulled the Hau mask from his pack and shined it at the lake, the golden light from the mask indeed did glimmer much brighter than when it had dimmed last time after they got the water breathing Kaukau. Speaking of, Takua swapped that one out and it too started to glow. "Macku, Hali, care for a swim?" the Ga-Matorans nodded and the three of them dove into the water. Takua gripped the mask tightly to not only allow the power of the mask to allow him to breathe but to also allow it to point them into the right direction.

Sure enough they found a hidden cave that they surfaced upward inside. The cave however was very dark. Rather ironic actually given where it was. Only the mask gave them a chance to see where they were going. It wasn't a very big cave however and finally they found the mask they were looking for. Alas not another Great mask but Noble one. Ruru, Mask of Night Vision. Macku picked it up and handed it to Takua. Holding it up the mask activated and shined a much brighter light to help them see much better. "Almost makes you wonder how in the world it got all the way down here." Macku says they followed Takua back.
