I hadn't believed Felix's claims in our class group chat yesterday about taking us on a two-day, one-night trip on his private yacht. But now, sitting on the luxurious yacht's deck, I knew it wasn't just talk. It was all happening for real.

The strong wind whipped my skin, making my loose hair fly around. I gazed out at the vast blue sea, contrasting with the darker shade of the sky.

"Hey, Rafael and Daniel are competing inside. The first one to finish Tiffany's big bowl of spaghetti wins. Wanna bet and watch?" Mila, who had been standing next to me and sipping her cola, informed me after checking her phone.

Intrigued, I followed Mila into the dining area. Many people had already gathered there except Asher, who was absent.

"Who's betting on Rafael, guys?" I asked.

"We all are, except Felix," Diana replied. Among the two, Rafael was known for his large appetite, so it was no surprise everyone bet on him.

"Okay, I bet on Daniel," I said, placing some money on the table. I wanted to try my luck. "How about you, Mil?" I asked Mila, who was pondering her choice.

"I also bet on Daniel!" Mila finally declared.

"Ready, guys?" Tiffany asked, positioning her hand between Rafael and Daniel. "Okay, go!" she said after receiving nods from both.

The two guys quickly started devouring the spaghetti. Everyone cheered for their favorite, including me. I had a little hope that Daniel would win.

The competition was fierce as both were highly competitive, making the outcome hard to predict. The cheers grew louder, and finally, Daniel slammed his bowl down and raised his fist, closely followed by Rafael. Daniel won by a narrow margin.

"Yeah!" I shouted, clutching Mila's hand. "I didn't expect Daniel to win." I high-fived Mila and Felix, celebrating the victory. The others groaned in disappointment as Rafael, the favorite, lost.

"Good game, bro," Rafael said, giving Daniel a high-five.

"Is the sky getting really dark, or am I tripping?" Sara asked after the betting excitement had died down, looking out at the sky.

Everyone followed Sara's gaze, and sure enough, the southern sky was very dark. It wouldn't be long before the clouds above us turned gray too.

"Guys, there's a storm coming." Asher emerged from the bridge with a concerned expression. "We should be careful."

"What the fuck, I thought the forecast said it would be sunny today. Everyone, sit down and buckle up; Asher and I will handle the storm," Felix said before disappearing into the bridge.

I obeyed Felix, sat in a seat, fastened my seatbelt, and tried to stay calm. I believed we would be fine.
