This first part will follow season 1 of The Umbrella Academy

---

On the first day of October 1989, 43 women around the world gave birth. This was unusual in the fact that none of these women had been pregnant when the day first began.

The eccentric billionaire and adventurer Sir Reginald Hargreeves adopted as many of the children as possible. He ended up getting eight of them and trained them into saving the world, called them The Umbrella Academy.

The Umbrella Academy was the finest crime fighting forces in the city and they became famous. Always on covers on magazines.

You are a member of The Umbrella Academy which is a team of crime-fighters who is wearing domino masks when they were on missions. You are not proud of it.

Your adopted dad never took care of you and your siblings or loved you, instead of raising you as a single father, giving you a loving and caring home, he created an Academy.

You will say that he adopted you yeah, give you roof over your heads and food on the table, but instead of treating you as his children, he treated you all like you were lab rats on his little experiment. He only had you because of their abilities.

You never deemed Reginald your father. He was a cold and selfish, rigid and bold but most importantly, he never showed any of you love. His caring towards you could be described as training you, but it never felt as if he wanted what was best for you.

Some would say you and your siblings are lucky, you have a gift that most people would kill for. But you didn't feel lucky and neither did your siblings, from the day you learned how to walk, you were trained to be crime stopping heroes. Saving the day like any other superhero, how much you hated those days and the ones that came after them.

You hated living in that big house but you were glad you weren't alone, you lived with your siblings or your adopted siblings, since none of you were related by blood. But you see each other as family, and you would not call your family normal, you would call them a dysfunctional family 'cause that was what they were.

A super dysfunctional family.

But Reginald was not a nice dad, he never took care of you and your siblings or loved you. You were taking care of by a robot woman who you all called mom.

Reginald emotionally abused you all. He would make you train against each other from six a.m. to noon. At noon, you all got thirty minute lunch break. After that, it was training again until dinner time. He used to put these sticky things on your temples when you were all sleeping. Put up small camera at your beds too, and he monitored you when you were asleep

At the age of 13, you and your siblings got the Academy's log tattooed on your left wrist. It was a black umbrella in a circle. It was like Reginald branded you all.

You and your siblings called each other by the names you were giving by their robot mother, Grace, but your dad called you all by the numbers he gave you.

Numbers were given to you all insted of names.

The numbers the children were assigned determine an unspoken rank, with One being the best and eight the least desirable.

Number One: Luther Hargreeves, Spaceboy, his abilities is super strength. He is kinda like superman, but aim much lower. He is more dumber, plus he is a daddy's boy. You were never closed with Luther, you always wanted to beat the shit out of him. You think he was so annoying because he always act like the leader of the family. You didn't necessarily hate him, but neither did you have a fondness for his personality. So you never hated him like that, you were just not necessarily excited about his existence.
