Rocky's Point of View told in first person

I stepped inside Paw Patrol Academy and was greeted by the loud laughter of high schoolers. I look a moment to soak my new school in and gasped. It was huge. There were four tall and enormous windows on each wall, and below the windows were comfy looking coaches. I could see the students sitting by the windows, some scrolling on their phones (probably on TikTok, Instagram, or Youtube Shorts), and others gaming very aggressively. But they all had one thing in common, they were all chatting away happily and cheerly with their friends.

I tried locating the main office but decided the school was way to vast. I mustered up all my courage and left my social anxiety behind, and went ahead to ask someone for help. I first observed the people (or anthro-dogs), and decided that I would approach the friendliest.

"Hey there! I was wondering if you know where the main office is? If you don't mind could you please tell me?"

The person looked up from her phone, glanced at me for less than a second, and kept scrolling on her phone. Great. I just realized that my people judging skills are HORRIBLE. Well, I'll try to figure this out without help.

I mean...It can't be that hard right?

Everest's Point of View told in first person

I was lounging around in the school library, listening to music. I quickly took a glimpse around hoping to see my friends. I was always the first one in the friend group to arrive, so it wouldn't be a surprise if my friends arrived later than me. After all.. my parents work earlier than normal people, and they unfortunately drop me off, which means I have to get up extra EARLY.

Anyways, I glanced around, everything seemed normal. Except something seemed out of place.. or maybe someone. In front of me stood a slender andromorphic dog with a grayish-brown fur color. They had a somewhat confused and grumpy expression glued on their face, with furrowed brows and slight frown. His ears were pointed, with one having a small notch or tear, wonder how that happened. Despite his grouchy attitude there was something about him that made my heart...flutter. Maybe it was his very macular and toned body, or his handsome facial features, his luscious chestnut colored eyes, filled with love...I could stare into those forever. Wait, wait wait. What am I thinking? I just met this person, I can't have butterflies and go all lovey dovey for him.

Just as I was busy overthinking, like always. He started approaching me. 'No, no, no. PLEASE don't come here,' I thought, trying to suppress the blush creeping onto my cheeks. I adjusted my headphones and pretended to be engrossed in my music, but my heart was pounding louder than the beat in my ears.

"Hey," he said, his voice surprisingly soft and a bit hesitant. I looked up, and our eyes met. Up close, his down to earth brown eyes were even more captivating, and I struggled to find my voice.

"Hi," I managed to squeak out, immediately cursing myself for sounding so lame.

"Do you know where the main office is?" he asked, a small, hopeful smile playing on his lips.

I took a deep breath, trying to steady my racing heart. "Yeah, I can show you. It's actually on the way to my first class."

"That would be great, thanks," he said, visibly relieved.

I stood up, grabbing my bag, and motioned for him to follow me. As we walked through the bustling hallways, I couldn't help but steal glances at him. He seemed a bit more relaxed now, but there was still an air of uncertainty about him.

"So, are you new here?" I asked, trying to make conversation.

"Yeah," he replied, rubbing the back of his neck. "Just moved here last week. This place is... a lot bigger than my old school."

"I can imagine," I said, laughing softly. "It takes a while to get used to, but you'll get the hang of it."

He smiled at me, and I felt a warm sensation spread through me. "Thanks. I'm Rocky, by the way."

"Nice to meet you, Rocky. I'm Everest," I said, extending my paw. He shook it, his grip firm but gentle.

We walked in a comfortable silence for a few moments until we reached the main office. I pointed it out to him. "Here it is. If you need any help or have any questions, feel free to ask me."

"Thanks, Everest. I appreciate it," he said, giving me another one of those heart-melting smiles.

"No problem," I replied, my heart skipping a beat.

As Rocky walked into the office, I found myself hoping that we'd run into each other again. There was something about him that intrigued me, and I couldn't wait to find out more.
