It was a bright full moon. The red-haired priest stood in front of a sigil, fossilized snakeskin in hand. His mentor stood behind him. Monitoring his every movement. Lest he make a mistake.
"Shirou...are you ready?" His mentor called his name, face as cold as the stone walls that cover them.
He young priest nods, mimicking his mentor's expression. "Yes, teacher." His name is Shirou Kotomine, foster child of Kirei Kotomine- and he is about to commit a taboo. A ritual used by the heathen mages of the association.
His mission? To retrieve the Holy Grail and have it sealed by The Vatican. And he needs help for that task. Help that comes from ancient times. The King of Heroes, Gilgamesh. The Archer servant of the previous war, who lost to the Saber servant in their final battle. With his strength, Shirou would accomplish his task easily. Provided he take caution.
He was warned of the King's bizarre temperament, and aims to provide what he could.
"Shirou, begin." Kirei commanded.
Shirou nods. He outstretched his right hand onto the air. 'Oh, Father in Heaven. Forgive me for the trespass that I am about to commit!' With a heavy heart, he spoke;
"Let silver and steel be the essence."
The first line was spoken.
"Let the stone and the archduke of contracts be the foundation."
The calling of a demon, Paimon. At this line, a sin is committed. He must go through.
"Let gold be the color I pay tribute to my great ancestor Solomon."
For he committed the same sin.
"Let rise a wall against the wind that shall fall."
The barriers of time, broken.
"Let the four cardinal gates close."
Space itself focused to a single point.
"Let the three-forked road from the crown reaching unto the Kingdom Above rotate."
For the second stanza.
"I hereby declare!"
"Let your will be bound to my body."
The light of the sigil became brighter, the wind itself becoming foe to the summoner.
"Let your sword guide my destiny."
"Submit to the beckoning of the Holy Grail."
"If you comply to this will and this reasoning...Then answer!"
Shirou exhaled. The final stanza. It's now or never.
"An oath shall be sworn here!"
"I shall attain all the virtues of Heaven!"
"I shall crush all of the evils of Hell!"
"From the Seventh Heaven, attended to by three great words of power!"
"Come forth from the circle of binding!"
"Oh, Keeper of the Holy Balance!"
"Kuh!" Shirou grunted as the sigil shot up a pillar of light, colored red and gold. He stood up, the wind hit his clothes, letting them wave through the air. He clutched his crucifix, holding himself back from being blown away.
Not long after. The wind and light subsided. There, at the circle was bizarre figure. "Kuhahahaha!" A feminine haughty laugh came out of the figure. As the smoke cleared, Shirou saw what he would describe as an icon of debauchery.
