Thomas shook his head “Gosh I can’t believe you’re married and you didn’t tell me”
Alex sighed his shoulders sagging “It’s nothing special"
“What’s wrong?”
“I fought with Nathan”
Thomas frowned “Again? What caused the fight? You guys were close before What happened?”
“There are some things you should know"
“I’m your best friend We’re not strangers So tell me”
“What are you going to do if I tell you?”
Thomas shrugged“A problem shared is a problem halved,”
“This problem will never be solved” he said a tear rolling down his cheek “Not even in the next five years I will always hate Nathan with every fiber of my being”
Thomas’s mouth fell open “Wow is it that serious?"
Alex angrily wiped the tear away “Being betrayed is the hardest most painful thing that’s ever happened to me And I will never forget. Being betrayed by my brother…He forgot the brotherly bond we had, and now I have to live with that”
Thomas opened his mouth to speak but Alex silenced him with a sharp shake of his head“Forget it Thomas This discussion is a dead one”

Elisa’s voice rang out through the house “Nathan Nathan!”
Nathan emerged from his room, an ice pack pressed to his bruised forehead “Mum?”
“Did you fight with Alex again?”
“We just had an agreement”
“What agreement? An agreement that ended in a fight?
“Mum it’s nothing Brothers fight all the time”
“For a reasonable reason” she snapped“And the both of you won’t tell me what that reason is What’s got you two at each other’s throats?”
“It’s nothing Mum” Nathan repeated “Anyway when is Alex’s wife moving in?”
"she is not living with us"
“Why? Alex’s wife is family now isn’t she?”
“Alex told me they both need their privacy and I agree with him So they’ll be living in his house”
“But won’t she come visit us? Or at least come and greet us?”
“Hmm I met her and we talked I like her”
He grinned “I’d love to see her”
“You know Alex won’t let you and I’m not going to give you his address I don’t want the two of you killing each other” she said and walk into his room
Nathan’s fingers moved quickly over his phone’s screen “Send me Alex’s address” he muttered “I want to meet his wife face-to-face”
He hit send then waited
A few minutes later his phone buzzed “I told you not to text me again” read the message
“Will you just send me his fucking home address?”
After five long tense minutes the address came through and he smile

Alex grinned“Welcome to my humble abode Jasper and molly”
Jasper’s eyes widened as he took in the luxurious surroundings “Humble abode? This is huge"
Molly’s jaw clenched Alex turned to her with a knowing look “Seems like your mum doesn’t like what she’s seeing”
Jasper laughed “Of course she love it This is so different from our small apartment Uncle Alex”
“Come here my big boy” he said carrying Jasper into a large bedroom
Jasper’s mouth fell open in awe “Whoa! This is going to be my new room?”
"yes” Alex chuckled setting Jasper down on the bed
The boy bounced on the mattress laughing “Gosh this is huge and beautiful!”
Jasper stepped forward“Thank you Uncle Alex.”
“You can just call me Dad” he said, ruffling Jasper’s hair.
Molly’s breath caught in her throat “Dad…?” she whispered
“Yes I think we’re family now”
Molly pulled Alex out of Jasper’s room slamming the door behind her “Family my foot Show your real behavior and stop pretending in front of my kid!”
“This is who I am”
“If you’re really a rich man would you be this kind? Come on tell me another lie”
“I am serious”
“What are your rules? What should I not touch? What’s your deal?”
Alex gave a small smile “You’ve been watching and reading a lot of novels about billionaires, haven’t you? How they punish their wives, treat them badly…but I’m not one of them. I won’t hit you or hurt you"
“It’s all a lie straight from the pits of hell Even a poor man will hit his wife Not to talk of a rich man in a fake marriage”
“You’ve been through a lot Let’s make this marriage look real Let’s make it real”
“This is a contract marriage So what are your demands? I won’t let you bully me or my kid”
Alex sighed “Gosh, you’re unbelievable I’m not a woman beater. Animals are the ones that hit people.” He paused, glancing towards a nearby door “Anyway, all I’ll tell you is don’t enter that room”
“Whatever” she muttered
“And one more thing I hate lies and dishonesty Even if this marriage is fake I want you to be honest with me You’re free to do what you want and like”
“where is my room?” Molly asked rolling her eyes
“We’ll be sharing the same room Together”
Molly’s mouth dropped open “What? This is fa—”
“Fake marriage?” Alex interrupted winking at her “I told you we should make it real”
Molly hiccupped blushing at Alex’s playful tone........
