"Are you fucking kidding me?" Sidharth complained from the passenger seat of my car. His arms were folded over his chest, and he had a cute, grumpy expression. He was angry with me, but he undeniably looked like a child.
"Why is she here?" he demanded, giving Tina a dirty look.
"What's his problem?" Tina asked, cluelessly sitting in the backseat. "We're going shopping, right?"
This was a problem.
"OMFG!" Sidharth gasped in shock and looked at me in disbelief. "Seriously? Shopping?"
Shopping wasn't a surprise. It was something else. But the plan changed when Tina, at the last minute, demanded to join me and insisted we go shopping. She knew I hadn't bought anything yet. She just needed to buy something for the sangeet function. She went shopping with Priya and Veer two days ago, which I missed because of work. Plus, as far as I know, Sidharth hasn't bought anything yet. So now, shopping has become a surprise.
To be honest, I'm pissed. My plan to spend some quality time with him has just been ruined by my own little sister. I'm pissed at her. I'm pissed at the situation. And I'm pissed at myself for missing out on the shopping trip that day. If I had gone shopping then, this wouldn't have happened.
"Umm-" I didn't know what to say to coax him. I knew he was upset with me. He was disappointed. I knew he was as excited as I was to spend some quality time together. But what can I do now? The wedding is coming closer, and we aren't done yet.
"Fuck." Cursing, I got into the car and sat in the driver's seat.
"What's going on here? And Shehnaaz, why is he here with us in the first place?" Tina asked in confusion.
I still hadn't told her about us. I needed a little more time before revealing our relationship.
"Tina, he-"
Sidharth cut me off. "What do you mean? I am her boyfriend. And she was supposed to give me a surprise. Which I guess is shopping." He scoffed, still upset with me.
There was a pin-drop silence before Tina burst out with questions. "You bitch! You made him your boyfriend? You guys are in a relationship? When did it happen? How did it happen? WTF? Can someone enlighten me with everything? Please?"
"Tina." She talks too much. "Do-"
"Don't you dare call her a bitch. I swear, it won't go well for you." He threatened her, pissed.
I almost laughed. But Tina actually laughed.
"Protective boyfriend, huh?" She gushed, and I blushed. "But, what will you do, littleman?" She mocked, laughing at him.
