"Thank you for saving my life," Shehnaaz whispered against my chest once she stopped crying

"Thank you for saving my life," Shehnaaz whispered against my chest once she stopped crying.

"It was my duty to protect you," I replied truthfully.

Ignoring my words, she got up from me and dusted off her dress. I quickly got to my feet and tried to clean my clothes as best I could. I hissed in a low voice when I accidentally touched a cut on my back. This reminded me to check on her.

"I'm going," she announced. "And don't follow me."

Surprisingly, her voice was soft. I liked her tone, but not what she said.

"You're not going anywhere," I said, starting to check her body for injuries. Luckily, there was no serious injury apart from a minor scratch on her elbow. "You got hurt! Let's go to the hospital," I said, worried.

"No, I'm fine. It's just a small cut," she reasoned, trying to avoid going with me.

"Shehnaaz," I said, my frustration evident.

"Sidharth, you don't need to worry about me," she insisted, her stubbornness clear.

I felt hurt and angry. "Don't talk like a fool, Shehnaaz. You got hurt, and we're going. It's final." It was an order.

She made a face, clearly not liking my tone. "You're not my boss, so I don't have to listen to you!"

"I'm your future husband, Bunny," I said confidently.

She made a face again, irritated by my words. "In your dreams, Mister."

I was impressed with her fierce attitude, even with her innocent face. As they say, never judge a book by its cover. You don't know what's hidden in those pages. We wouldn't know the story until we explore, reading them.

"Must say you have a fierce tongue. Hope you can use it rightfully in the future, after we get married," I said, starting to look for a ride to the nearest hospital.

"You pervert!" she gasped.

I smiled, understanding she got the hidden meaning of my words. She really had a dirty mind to understand those words. Smart!

"Just like you, little bunny," I smirked at her.

She scoffed. "I'm not. And don't call me bunny."

"I will. And you are a pervert."

"No."

"Yes."
