CECILY POV

I never thought there would come a day when I would wish never to speak to Landon King again, but lo here we are. He used me and wishes to continue it, just for his sick games, games I'll never understand. "Cece you wanna drink?" My best friend, Ava, asks me, "No thank you Aves I'm not in the mood for one" well I'm never in the mood for one, not after what happened 5 years ago. "Are you still thinking about Landon? Cec he's not worth your time. What did he do anyway for you to ignore him so?" Ava doesn't exactly know what happened, I'm not gonna tell her as she'll worry too much. "Nothing that important Aves...let's talk about something else" "ooooh let's go the nearby club....pleasee?? Let's just dance and have fun and forget about Landon" I hate going to clubs but maybe it'll be good for once?
---
We're all sitting in a booth and by 'all' I mean me,Ava,Glyn,Annika,Remi,Creigh and Bran. We're all talking and drinking-everyone but me-and just being regular college students when Landon arrives to our booth and demands to sit right next to me. I've been ignoring him since the fire 3 days ago, he's tried contacting me but I just don't wish to entertain him. "Cecily, could you shift a little, I want to sit too" before I could answer him Remi spoke "Ooh Lan come sit with his lordship, afterall it's not everyday you get the chance to." Lan just glared at him and then asked me again to shift a little. To avoid engaging with him too much I just shifted and let him sit next to me. My plan was solid- Don't talk to him and don't look at him. Simple.
After about 10 minutes of being uncomfortable around landon I started engaging in the conversation going around the booth. "Ceceeeee! Let's dance!!" I look at Ava who's clearly drunk at this point."Uh-" "You think this prude would dance with you? His lordship is a much better person to dance with Ava" Remi interrupts me. I know he's only joking but it hurts sometimes. "I'll dance with you Aves" I don't know why I agreed, probably to show them that I'm not just a prude. I can be fun too.
Agreeing to dance was a really bad idea. The floor is packed with people and it is getting conjested but Ava seems to be having fun. "Come on Cec...loosen up a little!" Ava screamed over the loud music. She grabbed me by the hips and started moving them along to the beat of the music. After a minute I got the hang of it and let myself a little loose, to put it Ava's words. It was fun if I'm being honest. I felt him before I heard him "Are you ignoring me Cecy?" His chest pressed to my back and his voice deadly low raised goosebumps all over my body. His hands grabbed my waist and stayed there. I couldn't breathe, he was too close. "Tell me Cecily...are you enjoying this? This game you're playing with me? Of ignoring me?" He spoke so lowly that I would not have even heard him had he not been this close to me. I hissed in pain as His grip tightened when I didn't reply. "You're hurting me Landon." My voice came out in whispers. When he didn't let go of me after 3 minutes I shrugged out of his hold and ran to the washroom.
I looked myself in the mirror in the washroom and all I could see was a girl who couldn't let go of her past.
I heard the door open and close with a click of the lock. My head snapped in the direction of the door and was surprised to see Landon standing there and staring me with an unreadable expression on his face. He moved towards the stalls and checked if someone was there. "This is the women's washroom not the men's" My voice came out confident contrary to my emotions. "So you're talking to me again now?" He spoke while checking all the stalls. "Then why are yo-" "Ah...finally we are alone."
