Chapter 2

Landon pov

I knew Cecily was effectively avoiding me, but only because I let her. If I wanted, she'd never leave my sight, but I can't, since she'll assume I'm interested in her. I'm not. She is only a means to an end. She is useful, therefore I make use of her. But if she thinks she can ignore my presence, she's in for a surprise. I had put up with her neglecting me for far too long, and it was time to put an end to it. So when I saw remi and creighton leaving for the club I decided I would go too and talk to Cecily about whatever is the reason she's ignoring me, although I know it's because I used her to cause harm to others. But she knew what she was getting herself into when she agreed to go to the initiation ceremony.

AT THE CLUB

To my surprise, Cecily agreed to dance when a drunk Ava asked her to, while I was sitting next to her, giving her time to grow used to my company. I noticed a man approaching Cecily, but I sprang out of my chair, hurried over to her, and grabbed her about the waist before he could even introduce himself. For a split second, I could feel her start to get afraid before she pulled herself together. We needed to talk, so after she shook off my advances, I went after her into the bathroom.
I approached her and cut her off, saying, "Ah...finally we are alone" after making sure I had locked the bathroom door and that every stall was vacant. "What do you want Landon?" Although she seemed confident in her speech, I could see she was getting worried by the minute.
"What do I want? How about you tell me why you're ignoring me." She stood there looking at me with disbelief on her face.
"You want to know why I'm ignoring you?"
"That is why I'm here."
"Maybe because you used me? Maybe because I thought that finally you-" She stopped mid sentence and just stared me with tears in her eyes.
"You thought I finally what?" My voice coming out curious.
She remained silent for a while before answering.
"I'm done being a part of your stupid games. I won't do this anymore." She began to walk towards the door when I caught her by the wrists, stopped her and turned her towards me.
"Finish your sentence Cecily."
"No, I won't finish my sentence."
We both stared at each other, not saying anything, staying in silence.
"Fine then." I begin to leave her there alone when I say " You don't want be involved in my 'games'? Too late. You're already in them, there's no leaving at this point. So just suck it up and stop being a baby about everything like you always are. Grow up Cecily. This, this life is not one of your Mangas. This is reality." My words were harsh but she needed to hear them. With that I left her there in the washroom alone. Oh god. If uncle Xander ever found out that I spoke to his one and only daughter that way then I'm surely dead.

I'm so sorry for the late update! I had my exams and had to study. I'll try to be more regular with updates. Sorry for the short chapter.
