SABRINA
I took several deep breaths as I matched through the double glass doors that were once my workplace, but it didn't seem to work. My blood felt hot under my skin as I walked past glaring eyes, and I bit my lower lip.
The audacity, the fucking audacity.
"Sabrina?" A surprised look rested on Lily's face as I approached her.
"The CEO is in office, right?" I asked.
She raised her eyebrow at me, confusion taking over her features. "Yeah, I believe so-"
I turned around and headed for the elevator, ignoring any other words that were about to leave her lips.
Three weeks, three fucking weeks that I never heard back from that bastard. Now he's calling me like we're some kind of long-lost best buddy that hasn't been keeping in touch after such a long time.
Completely glossing over the fact that he buried his dick in my ex-best friend.
He called me, telling me he wanted to talk, and I should come over for the dinner his family was hosting.
Not even as much of I'm sorry for fucking her; it's you I love.
Nothing.
If I had seen him in real life, I would have smacked the shit out of him for pulling a shit like that. But then the idea came to me while he was still speaking, and I knew I had to teach him some kind of lesson.
If he wants me to be at family dinner, then I'll be sure to ruin his family fucking dinner.
I gritted my teeth as the elevator door opened, and the first person I spotted walking towards his office was Blake. He stopped when the elevator door swung open, and his eyes widened when he spotted me storming towards him.
"Sabrina? What are you doing here-"
"Where is he?"
"Where is who?" he asked in confusion.
I took a deep breath to steady my irritation. "Where is William?"
"You know William?" he asked in surprise.
I let out an aspirated sigh. "Just tell me where he fucking is, Blake."
"He's in the meeting room with investors. You're going to have to wait if you're going to see him-"
"This can't wait," I interrupted, making my way to the meeting room.
"No, Sabrina, you can't go in there; it's a very important meeting," he yelled after me, but I ignored him, throwing the door open.
The room fell silent as the door opened with a bang, and several eyes turned in my direction.
I froze, looking into each and every investor's eyes, looking at me expectantly, and I swallowed, sweat sliding down my forehead. His eyes weren't hard to miss, staring at me with what I thought was a surprise, but they were gone so fast that I just thought I imagined it.
"Urm, good afternoon." I took a deep breath, trying to ignore the wobbliness of my legs. "I need to see Mr. Ciro."
The whole room filled up with mutters.
"Can't you see that we're busy?" Someone asked, their voice laced with annoyance.
"It's important," I fired back.
"I'm sure that it can wait, girl."
Before I could say something back, the screeching sound of a chair shifting backward filled the room, silencing everybody. William stood up from his chair, his eyes never leaving mine as he spoke.
