After my cold had passed, I was back in class and doing my normal, usual shit.

But today Mirko and I were out on patrol when Hawks had suddenly shown up.

"Well what's up ladies, are we doing okay?" The man asked, one of his feathers chasing me around before he had stopped, the hero laughing at his antics.

"We were until you tried messing with us," I rolled my eyes "Aw, too bad, anyways kid, thanks for that book, I guess it was a good read."

Suddenly Hawks had handed us some book, and I was about to say something till I realized this was most likely a code.

"Yeah I even read that highlighted shit, you should probably cut that out before you mess up the book though," "Sorry about that, I was just telling Mirko about it," I responded, winking at the as I felt Mirko pat my shoulder.

After Hawks had left, Mirko and I left back to her Agency to read the book.

It was about the Paranormal Liberation Front, and how they were going to strike soon.

"Wait how does Hawks know?" I asked, only for Mirko to sigh.

"The hero commission had him go undercover and make the villains think he was an ally, he's been telling us a bunch of stuff," the woman explained, making me nod.

"And that twerp's probably got a hand in it again," she added on, clearly talking about Shigaraki.

The situation did put me in a little loop and I was a bit confused for a moment but after a bit, I was caught up.

But anyways after that, it was time for me to leave, but instead of going straight to the dorms, I had gone home to see home for a bit.

"Hey Mom," I called out, the woman turning around before quickly hugging me.

"Hey cutie, how was your work-study?" "It was okay, Hawks gave us that book," I hinted, the woman instantly catching on.

"Yeah, he stopped by yesterday to give me one. Listen, pretty soon we'll be at war with the villains, and All for one, I just want you to know that no matter what, I love you, and I'll always, I mean always, be by your side."

This was exactly what I've been wanting to talk about, that feeling of fear, this was it, I was afraid that Mom would be taken away from me, and this was confirmation.

"Mom," "I know you don't want to hear this at all, but I have to say this so you know that I love you, you're my baby, and no matter by blood or not, you're my love, so please never forget that."

And to end off her words, Mom hugged me, and instantly I hugged her back, releasing all the feelings I was holding back, beginning to cry.

While not much else was said, I was making my resolve here, crying into my mother's arms as she held me, as if I were still a child.

While it did hurt, I felt relieved to hear her words, and deep down I knew what the outcome would be, but I won't acknowledge it, not right now while my mom was still right here.

After I began to feel better and stopped crying, Mom and I ate dinner together, and soon after I had convinced the woman to let me stay the night, of course infiltrating her room as well, already changed and in bed by the time the woman realized.

Luckily mom didn't mind and I had happily gotten comfortable, the night ending with me enjoying my mom's presence, holding onto this feeling for as long as I could.
