Bryan’s POV:

I sat up and fear racked me from my sorrow as memory of what happened earlier dawned to me.. Where was I? Did the Guardians left me out because of what I did? I’m scared that I scared off my last shot at a family.

I looked around the room. That was a relief, I was in a room. Actually, it was a rather large and grandeur room.

The bed had bright blue cloth that made it look like it was a Bedouin tent. The bed itself was king size. There were plush pillows lavishing the soft, silky bed. The bed was round and had black steel railings that guarded the perimeter of the bed so the occupant wouldn’t fall off.

The room was full of shelves, shelves and shelves of nothingness. The table too was empty, as in nothing occupied the room, just the bed. There was a closet in the corner and I summoned a ghost to open the closet for me and it was empty.

There was a door beside my bed so I asked the ghost to open the door for me and it revealed a bathroom bathed in the colour of icy blue. It was a simple bathroom with a sink, a mirror, a toilet and a large bathtub. I guess they don’t need to pay their bills here.

I opened the other door at the other side of my bed and it led out to a larger room. There was another door beside mine but I didn’t dare open it because that would be rude. It was still early in the morning and the place seemed quiet and still.

The doors overlooked a mezzanine that gave you a perfect view of the large living room below. The large living room had a beautiful black sleek grand piano as a center piece, a large fireplace where the fires flickered playfully, and couches that circled the fireplace and the piano.

Sprawled on the couches were the Guardians, all of them looked quite tired and wanted rest.

I crept down the stairs and came across an arc leading to another room. There was another arc across the room and it led to the large globe room. I walked into the arc closer to me and found myself inside the dining room.

It was a large room that had a grandeur chandelier emanating soft light. The table was round and there were six chairs around it and a lot more room for more chairs. The sides of the room were lined with table holding scented candles that filled the room with soothing but powerful aromas.

There was another arc on the other side of the room and I think it led to a kitchen because it looked silver and clean. So I walked towards it. I wanted to do something nice for the Guardians for taking me in. I wanted to surprise them and show them that I wasn’t useless.

I walked in the kitchen and saw Yetis bustling about. There was this single yeti that had a chef’s hat and barked orders at the other yetis. The yetis towered over me with an intimidating height but they seemed gentle so I was at ease with them.

I walked up to the single yeti that had a chef’s hat and smiled at him. He looked down at me and smiled too, I guess. I thought of a way to communicate to them since they spoke gibberish. I harnessed the power of the dark side to try telepathy with the yetis.

“Hi! How are you, little one? Did you have a good night’s sleep?” the yeti asked telepathically as he grinned happily.

Wow! It actually worked! I didn’t think I could do it but I did! “Hi! I’m fine, thank you for asking. I had a great sleep, the room was very nice,” I answered with a smile as I couldn’t contain my joy so I was bouncing up and down.

“It’s nice that you found the room pleasant,” he said with another large grin.

“Can I ask for a favour? I really want to surprise the Guardians with a nice breakfast for taking me in,” I asked bashfully, getting a little shy of my request.
