The yowl was a yowl of terror and pain,causing me great distress.It was Tigerpaw!He needed help it sounded like.Warriors leaped off the tree and raced into the forest towards the yowl.I stood and got ready to leap down too,but Creamwhisker carried me back into the nursery along with my litter mates. I protested angrily,Wanting to help Tigerpaw."LET ME HELP!!!"I squealed. "the warriors will help him!"Creamwhisker soothed me. I could tell she was really worried for her son,Anxious to know what happened.She groomed my pelt along with the others quickly and Let us feed though I pondered as I fed-What happened to Tigerpaw??-
Soon the warriors were carrying a wounded, bleeding Tigerpaw. Creamwhisker and my new father, Jetstripe Gasped at this sight. I sat in the nursery Curling up with Crowkit, my best friend. He licked my shoulder reassuring me that Tigerpaw was going to be ok. I licked his Foreleg, leaning against him for comfort. It was now obvious we were closer then the other kits, I started to like him deeply in my heart. He liked me too by how much he Spent time With me.
Four long moons went by and we were 6 moons. CrowPAW had been made an apprentice Two moons ago.I had soon found out that Tigerpaw was attacked by rogues. Warriors had banned the rogues from the territory for good, and I was happy to hear that. Tigerpaw healed just fine and had been made a warrior as Tigerstrike.But what I was Really excited about is that me and my litter mates were six moons and it was our day to be 'paws. Creamwhisker groomed our pelts to a pretty and handsome shine. My favorite brother and sister, Windykit and Finchkit, were on one side of me on the vines and my Secret crush Crowpaw closely on the other as Thrushstar called the meeting. "Echokit. Step forward." I leaped forward onto the Front-vine and Looked up at Thrushstar. I was the last to be made a 'paw but I still didn't really care. "Echokit, until you've earned your warrior name you shall be known as Echopaw. Your mentor shall be Bramblefang. Bramblefang, teach Echopaw your great climbing skills,speed,agility and fighting skills."Thrushstar yowled. "I shall,Thrushstar!" Bramblefang meowed. We touched noses lightly."Hello Echopaw!"Bramblefang purred."Hello" I mewed excitedly.Thus began my popularity in Soulclan.

"Come on, Echopaw!" Crowpaw teased as we trotted along the turf With most of the clan, On our way to my first gathering. I was really nervous but I hid it and sped up my gait. We finally reached "Eight trees" And I stopped to gander at the huge ancient oak trees.Crowpaw pushed me into the Bramble bushes laughing. "HE-" I was cut off as I tumbled into the Gathering hollow. It was filled with cats, large and small, plump and lean, tall and short. I backed up into Crowpaw in Surprise. He steadied me gently with his paws"It's ok Echopaw, it's just a lot of cats from different clans." He whispered in my ear. I relaxed and padded farther into the hollow when a silver shecat with amber eyes cut me off and faced me. "Hi,I'm silverpaw what's your name?" Silverpaw mewed. "I'm Echopaw."I sniffed."Oh. This must be your first gathering?"Silverpaw purred."Y-yeah." I meowed. Crowpaw padded up to us and sat by me. "Oh hi Silverpaw!"He mewed."Hi Crowpaw..."Silverpaw gaped in surprise. I stifled a mrrow of laughter at this."Hey Ech-" Crowpaw was cut off by Thrushstar's Yowl to start the gathering. I quickly sat close to Crowpaw. Thrushstar stepped up to the edge of the huge highledge. "Prey is running very well in Soulclan. But we have Five new apprentices. Echopaw, her mentor is Bramblefang,Finchpaw,Her mentor is adderstorm,Windypaw,his mentor is Heathstorm..Rockpaw,Her mentor is Tigerstrike and Oakpaw,his mentor is Foxflare."Thrushstar meowed."ECHOPAW FINCHPAW WINDYPAW ROCKPAW OAKPAW!!!" All the clan cats chanted. I felt overwhelmed at this loudness but I said nothing, relieved as One gray and black shecat on the highrock flicked her tail for silence."That's Boulderstar."Crowpaw whispered.I nodded slightly. Whilst we were talking Boulderstar was stepping forward as Thrushstar stepped back."Prey has run well. And Fernwhisker had 3 healthy kits. Dawnkit, a shekit,Snowkit,also a shekit and Blackkit a tom."Boulderstar mewed.I didn't see why Boulderstar seemed to have a flash of envy when she said Fernwhisker so I shook it off. Boulderstar stepped back after she silenced the chant for the new litter in Heatherclan. A large dark brown tom with amber eyes stepped up."That's Birchstar."Crowpaw mewed silently. I nodded, wanting him to shutup but I said nothing."Prey is well and This is a sad moment. Redclaw our former deputy has retired to starclan. Whispers of grief spread through the group of eight clans. "But our new deputy is Foxflame."Birchstar continued. Chorus of chants screamed out once again,making me crouch in surprise. Crowpaw pressed against me, comforting me. Birchstar stepped back and a russet colored shecat stepped forward. I guessed her name was Russetstar to Crowpaw and he nodded.Russetstar was opening her mouth to speak when even more cats charged into the clearing. Cats yowled and bolted around,making me vomit in the pressure of this that's when Creekstar latched onto Thrushstar and bit her belly. Thrushstar threw her off and screeched for the clans to retreat the attack from-Did I hear her just day DARKFOREST????
