I curled up in my nest knowing Lightstream was dead, for the vigil had just ended and we were all exauhsted. I soon padded to Crowfires nest and nudged myself close to him as he licked my cheek-
"I love you Crowfire....and Nothing will stop me from Loving you."I whispered in his ear-
"I...love you too."He purred laying down closer to me. I purred and slipped into a nice deep sleep dreaming of the moment where we just became mates.
Happily I giggled in my dreams, pawing at soft cool grass
Until I woke up at dawn to a call-
"Echosong, Echosong!"Tribeam whispered at me and crowfires new nest.
"Yes?"I groaned noticing Crowfire was gone, standing up and stretching happily. "Come with me really quick....."Tribeam mumbled padding out of the Warriors den as I followed I soon sought out Thrushstar ahead sitting on the High branch with BadgerpeltBadgerpelt and Ivywing who had just had her ceremonyceremony.
"Windysky is a father to these" Ivywing whispered in my ear as she pointed to her belly when I walked past. I nodded smiling (in my books Medicine cats could have kits) I flicthl sitting down with Tribeam and Thrushstar also with Badgerpelt.
"Well I had a prophecy..."Thrushstar started.
"That the rising Light shall surround us in darkness."She whispered.
"Wait why am I in this?"I pondered aloud.
"Because. It also said that The light shall try and Destroy the Echo."Thrushstar mewed.
"So we've a small meeting between us to inform you to stay near camp or with at least one cat in our territory OK?"Tribeam mewed exclaimed
"Um OK..."I mumbled, padding away from them to Crowfire. I rubbed against him crawling close and kissing his cheek giggling as he blushed with Thrushstar, Tribeam, Ivywing, and Badgerpelt gaping at us open-mouthed. I twined my tails with his and he put a claw on my neck gently smiling and me giggling.
It had been two moons since me and Crowfire were mates. I lay in the warriors den in our nest when I felt a sudden Wriggling. I stared at my belly confused. Thinking I was sick, I padded to the Medicine cat den to see Ivywing sorting herbs without Badgerpelt in sight.
"Um Ivywing I think I might have a stomachs sickness."I murmured
Still confused.
"Oh boy.."She murmured
"Lay here, on your side."she meowed and as I did so I felt the wriggling feeling again.
She pawed my belly and after a feel seconds she grinned and happiness crossed across her face.
"Your not sick. Congratulations, you're expecting!"She mewed.
I jumped up purring-
"I am?"I exclaimed.
"Yes!"Ivywing meowed.
"I'm gonna be a mother!"I exclaimed.
"I'm so happy for you! Here I'll get an apprentice to go collect crowfire from His Hunting patrol so you can tell him the great news!"Ivywing offered.
I nodded and hugged her and she hugged back.
"Good luck with those kits!"She mewed as I padded out.
"You too!"I called after my shoulder grinning Soon Crowfire came padding into the warrior's den.
"This better be good."He joked.
"Oh it is my darling!"I purred and beckoned him to follow me into the forest.
We sat on an oak tree branch observing the territory of trees.
"Crowfire....."I whispered now leaning against him.
"Yes love?"He purred.
"Do you love me truly?"I meowed silently.
"Of coarse!"He purred eyes wide.
"Well then if you do I must tell you...
Your going to be a father!"I purred gently. He fell off the tree in surprise.
"You are? Thats great! Can I tell the clan?"He meowed leaping back up onto the branch-
"Of coarse!!"I meowed sharply saying yes.
Once we got back into the clan tree he leaped into the air like a silly kit-
"Echosong's expecting my kits-
Echosong's expecting my kits!"he yowled loud enough for every cat on Clantree and near away heard.
"Congrats!!"The cats cheered nuzzlng us and waving their tails in delight.
But amongst the cats I saw a sinister silhouette of Lightstream
With sinister glowing eyes that terrified me. She slowly turned her head now staring at me.
Blood roared in my ears as the suddenly chilling breeze whispered:
"The kit will die."
