Hardik sat alone in his dimly lit room, the weight of his shattered bond between with Rohit, the trolls, the boos pressing down on his chest. The once best friends, one family now are like strangers to each other or to be precise, just for him.
He can't even blame it on anyone, can he? He destroyed his one of the most precious relationship by his own hands. The team which was his family now seems so strange so.... There was a knock on his door pulling him out of his train of thoughts.
"Bhaiya it's time for dinner" it was ishan, he was kind of expecting him, he does this daily only to get rejected but still he tries. Sometimes it scares him, What if he gives up too? He is his only solace in this team for him right now, the only person who still treats him same, he don't how long he will last if he lost him too.
He took some deep breath trying to steady his emotions "I will have it later Ishu" he replied keeping his voice as normal as he can, "But you didn't had anything since morning, atleast open the door Bhai" Ishan said his voice filled with worry for his elder brother, hardik shrank more into himself realizing he worried the poor kid too, knowing damn well he got more and much worse problems then him, still he was worried about him checking on him instead of locking himself up in his room and being pathetic like him.
Pathetic, attention seeker and back stabber that's what he is...
"Ishu please I am fine" he said and turned the tv volume high trying to let him know that he is not in the mood to talk. Ishan getting the hint went from there, but not before giving the room one last look, this what had been happening since he had joined the mi camp and since the first match it just somehow worsened.
If there's no practice, match or shoot you wouldn't see him at all, he would lock himself in his room until he HAD to come out for some work or sometimes ishan succeed to coax him out of his jail.
Hardik switched off the tv after few minutes and went on the bed pulling his knees close to his chest, hugging himself tightly. He regret coming back so much, don't get him wrong he loves both gt and mi, both team are close to his heart, but mi is something different for him.
Mi is like his home, his life, his family... atmeast that's hiw it used to be, if he had known that Rohit didn't knew about the captaincy shift he would have never accepted it, he thought he was on page. He feel like drowning himself, jumping off the building for his stupidity, he should have just simply asked before signing the contract, everything would have been so so much better.
He looked at the click amd realized it was already 2 am, he chuckled and pulled his legs closer, another sleepless night, he thought. It doesn't matter for him anymore, better to be awake then having nightmares, his days had turned into endless sleepless nights as he replayed everything had been happening since he came back to mi, once his home. But now, just a mere team.

.Next day everyone reached to the ground for practice, while Hardik being last one to reach. His exhaustion was reaching to a breaking point, but who cares? Definitely not him. He kept his kit down and started getting ready for practice, he started doing warm ups but his body felt like he was floating, his vision fogging up he shook his head to clear his vision and got up somehow managing to complete his warm up.
He make back to pad-up for practice but suddenly felt the whole world spinning making him stumble. He sat down and drank water kind off regretting skipping the breakfast too. He grabbed his helmet and stood up to go to the nets not noticing two pair of worried eyes following his every step.
