Chapter 5 - I'm sorry.

The next day after their summer break, At school. Keith and Shiro stayed together the morning, At lunch Keith couldn't find him anywhere.

"Where is he?.."
Keith looked at every classroom but couldn't find a single trace of Shiro, He went to the canteen and found Shiro there. He felt delighted but saw that Shiro was eating with someone else, Shiro smiled and laugh. Seeing Shiro like that, Keith's heart throbbed sharply. Planning to look away and leave, Suddenly Shiro shouted his name and called out to him.

"Keith! I'm here!"
Shiro shouted, calling Keith.
"Keith!!"

Keith didn't look back and ran away, He ran and ran till he found himself at the school gym. He stopped and tried to catch his breath, Suddenly someone grabbed his shoulder causing him to jump.

"Kei-..keith.."
Shiro looked at the ground while heavy breathing, Keith looked at him and looked away. Backing away from Shiro, Shiro looked at him and sighed.
"Sorry, If I didn't tell you i was going to eat with a friend today"

"A friend?"
Keith looked at Shiro, His heartbeats gets fatser.

"Ah yeah, She's a new classmate. She transferred here and she asked me to eat lunch with her, She's really nice and everyone calls her pretty too but-"

As Shiro spoke, Keith couldn't help but feel his heart sink deeper into his stomach. He didn't want to hear anymore about anyone else, Without thinking Keith shouted at Shiro.

"Shut up!! I don't want to hear anymore crap about that girl! I don't care! Shut up!-"

Shiro looked at him with a shocked face, Keith covered his mouth realizing what he just said and did. Shiro became worried rather than mad, He stepped forward getting closer to Keith.

"Shiro.. I didn't mean to..I'm sorr-"

Shiro suddenly hugged Keith tightly, Keith looked at him and didn't know what to do. Shiro hugged him more tightly and started to speak.

"I'm sorry that I didn't tell you, It was all of the sudden when she asked to eat with me- please don't be mad or anything"

Keith just looked away and stayed silent, His face turning red. Shiro lets go of him and looked at him, Holding Keith's hand. He placed it on his cheek, Staring at Keith.

"I wonder when you'll ever look at me.."
Shiro mumbled before letting go of Keith, He looked away. Keith looked at Shiro, He didn't hear what Shiro said and didn't dare to even ask.

"I..I understand, I'm sorry for running away and lashing out too.."
Keith looked down on the ground and stayed silent again, Shiro turned to look at him and sighed before smiling.

"Have you eaten yet? Let's go have lunch, I haven't ate because i was waiting for you too"
Shiro blushed and smiled then looking outside the gym, Keith looked at him and smiled.

"I guess, Let's go eat then."

They both went out the gym and headed to the cafeteria, On their way. The girl from before went up to Shiro, Panting she looked up at Shiro.

"Hey! I was looking for you when you ran off!"
The girl got close to Shiro, Keith glared at her. Shiro got flustered and tried to back away from her, Suddenly Keith grabbed Shiro's hand and pulled Shiro behind him.

"Can't you see you're getting too close."
Keith looked down at the girl, The girl glared up at Keith.

"Shiro doesn't mind! I'm his friend, So he doesn't care-"

"Even if you are or you're not, Don't get too close to people. especially if they're uncomfortable."
Keith stared straight at the girl's eyes, Shiro looked at Keiths eyes and looked at the girl. Shiro felt another sharp throb in his heart, Keith lets go of Shiro.
"I'll be going in my classroom, You two can talk all you want."
Shiro stared at Keith as he walked away, He was left there standing with the girl. Somehow he felt as if he lost something valuable that left him vulnerable, The girl looked at Shiro.

"Shiro! You haven't had Lunch yet right?"
The girl wrapped herself around Shiro's arm, Shiro looked at her with a dark and empty face. The girl felt chills down her spine, Shiro's face changed as he forced a smile, Shiro pulled his arm away the girl before speaking.

"I'm full, I don't wanna eat lunch. I'll go to my clsssroom, I'll see you later"
Shiro smiled and waved before walking away, The girl stood there smiling. Suddenly the girls face changed into a irritated look, She bit her nails and looked at Shiro who was walking away in a terrifying way.

"How..rude."
The girl turned another way and walked away, Shiro walked through the hallways thinking about what happened.

While walking he bumped into someone, Looking up and apologizing he realized.

"Ah- Sorry!... Oh- Xavier?!

The stranger looked back at him and smiled.

"Nice to see you again, Shiro."
