PROLOGUE
A Letter From A Horse

Leila Martino, labelled 'The Underworld's Best', child of Hades, protector of the Underworld, a demigod child of one of the big three, despite Zeus' wishes. Leila was one of the forbidden children. That's why she just stayed in the Underworld with her dad, away from all of the family drama. It was a lot less noisy.

That's not to say Hades didn't have any faults, Leila knew he did, she would never call him a perfect father, but at least he wasn't sending her into a war that had nothing to do with her. Her mother casted her out the second she was born, seeing Leila as a misfortune and a loose end from her past, so she tossed her away like a test you got a bad mark on. Hades taught her how to defend herself from a young age, knowing monsters would try to hunt her down.

Leila was sitting in front of the dark pillars, looking off in the distance. Not many people actually made it this far. Leila fiddled with the sword, accidentally piercing a line on her finger. She only noticed when her blood was on the edge of the sword. She always found it hard when it came to pain, she wouldn't exactly call it high pain tolerance, more of she just didn't really realise it until later, like how she'd walk into walls when she was younger.

She heard a light hum, and turned around to see a new statue of a person in a frozen state. Leila furrowed her brows, walking inside. The person didn't seem familiar to her. Leila walked closer to the woman. She narrowed her eyes, a normal human. A human. 'great', Leila thought sarcastically.

Of course Leila had heard the talk of Hades or Poseidon somehow stealing Zeus' bolt. She knew it wasn't either. Gods forbid she wasn't a child of Athena, but she knew her stuff. She knew it wasn't Hermes, but maybe it was one of his kids. Then a piece of burnt paper went flying in her direction, which only confused her more. Then she read it:

Leila Martino, you are being requested as a protector and spectator of two demigods and a satyr, Percy Jackson, Annabeth Chase, and Grover Underwood. It is in regards to the master bolt. They will be travelling to the Underworld, I am hoping that you will in fact protect and guard them as much as possible within your boundaries. Sincerely, Chiron.

And now she has to babysit three kids. How wonderful, she would say sarcastically.
