"Did you sign up for colleges yet?" You asked Seungcheol on your way to school.
"Yeah, some. But no one answered yet."
"Mhm, not? That's weird. I got my answers months ago."
"Maybe they don't want someone blinde to be their student. It's hard work for them."
"Yeah, but I don't think that that could be an issue for them. Maybe you should call them."
"Maybe. If not, then I'm going to work at my Dads company."
"An Office Job? But that's not your dream Job."
"I know, but what else should I do?"

Seungcheols dream was to study music and become a music teacher. Since hearing is one of his biggest senses and strength, he decided quite early, what he wanted to do in the future. He loved to play any instrument, sang every song on the radio and wrote his own lyrics. You really wished for him, that he will be able to continue this path in his life.

"I'm pretty sure some college will assign you."
"I hope so."

After school, you went home to make homework by yourself, since Joshua and Seungkwan had things to do. Your mom came into your room, leaning against the door.
"What are you doing?"
You looked up from your english homework. "What does it look like?"
She smiled. "You're never home at this time. What about the boys?"
"Joshua and Seungkwan had things to do."
"And Seungcheol?"
You shrugged your shoulders. "I don't know actually. He just left after school."
"And you didn't ask him what he is about to do today?"
You put your pen down. "Mom, what is this?"
"What? Can't a mom ask her daughter about her friends."
"Yes, she can, but you're acting weird since yesterday. It was really embarrassing how you called Seungcheol and me Lovebirds."

"But did you see his reaction?"
"No..."
"I think he liked it."
"I'm pretty sure he didn't."
"Oh i'm pretty sure he did. I noticed it a long time ago, how you two acted around each other."
"What do you mean?"
"I mean, I know you like Seungcheol. More than a friend. And I think that he likes you more than a friend too."
You turned red, quickly looking away. "Mom..."
She smiled. "Let's see how things go between you."
Your mom left you room, leaving you alone again. You sighed.
Seungcheol having a crush on me? Never gonna happen.

It's been a week now and you find yourself in front of Seungcheols House. You rang the doorbell. A few seconds later Seungcheols mom opened the door.
"Ah, y/n! It's so nice to see you again. Please, come in."
"Hello, Mrs. Choi."
You got in, taking your shoes off.
"What do you think about a cherry cake?"
You smiled at her. "Sounds great."
You two went into the kitchen. Seungcheol was sitting at the counter, writing some notes on his laptop.
"Hey, Cheol." You greeted him.
He looked up, into your direction. "Hello, y/n."
"Seungcheol my love, you should maybe leave the kitchen, so you could concentrate more."
He shook his head. "No it's okay. I'm staying."
His mom looked at him, then at you. "Okay. C'mon y/n, let's get started."

Mrs. Choi and you started preparing everything for the cake. You felt someone staring at you the whole time, but every time you looked at Seungcheol, he was focused on his laptop.
"Hello y/n!"
You turned around to Seungcheols dad.
You bowed to him. "Hello, Mr. Choi."
"Wow, this looks already amazing!"
Mrs. Choi laughed. "We are just preparing the ingredients, love. There is no cake done yet."
He stood next to Seungcheol, placing a hand on his shoulder. "Still amazing. Look at our girls making delicious things for us, Seungcheol."
Seungcheol and you both began to cough. You quickly turned away, continuing cutting the cherries in half.
"Love." Mrs. Choi said, slightly laughing.
"What? I don't see a problem here, right Seungcheol?"
"Mhm."

You tried to focus again. Seungcheols dad left the kitchen, leaving the three of you alone again. His mom and you began to mix the ingredients, and start stacking up the dough and cherries. After you were done, you put the cake in the oven.
"And done. Great work y/n!"
Mrs. Choi hugged you. You hugged her back.
"Thank you. We are a pretty good team."
She smiled at you. "We're definitely are! Now it's time to wait. I'll be waiting in the living room. You can take it out after 30 minutes."
You nodded. "Okay."
She left the kitchen, leaving Seungcheol and you alone.
You looked at him. He was still writing something on his laptop.

"What are you writing?"
"Just some lyrics."
You got close to him.
"Can I read them?"
You quickly shut his laptop down. "No."
You stepped one step away. "Sorry, I was just asking."
He sighed. "No I'm sorry. It's just.. a little bit too personal."
"You know you can talk with me about anything, right?"
He nodded. "Yeah I know. Maybe I will show you.. someday.
You smiled at him. "Okay.
You started to clean up the kitchen, while waiting for the cake to be done. You felt someone watching you again. You slowly turned around, catching Seungcheol looking at your direction. You turned red, once again. He sighed.
"What?"
He quickly put his head down. "Nothing. Just.. thinking about how to continue the lyrics."
"Let me know if I can help you."
He nodded. "I will."

After the cake was done, you were all sitting at the dining table, enjoying a piece of it.
"It's tastes amazing! You two are excellent bakers." Mr. Choi says.
You smiled at him. "Thank you, Mr. Choi."
"It is really delicious." Seungcheol said next to you.
You looked at him smiling. "Thanks, Cheol."
His parents looked at each other.
"Do you two go together to the party?" His mom asked.
"Mom, I already told you that."
"Oh did you? I forgot about it. Comes with the age." She laughed.
You looked at her. "We're going with Joshua and Seungkwan."
"Oh yes, now i remember! Don't you all have a date yourselves? Y/n you're so pretty, boys must be waiting for you in line."
You laughed. "Thank you but no, they're not."
"I'm pretty sure your prince charming is waiting for you." His dad said. Seungcheol murmured something, but you couldn't understand it. You just smiled.

"What about watching a movie together? Y/n, you need to be home by time?"
You shook your head. "No. I'm down for a movie."
"Great!" Mrs. Choi cleaned up the table, while Mr. Choi, Seungcheol and you went to the living room. His dad quickly sat down on the big couch, looking at the two of you.
"I guess you must sit on the smaller one."
Seungcheol sighed. "Dad..."
His dad just smiled. The two of you sat down on the smaller couch. Seungcheol and you sat both close to the armrest, leaving a big spot between you.
"Looks like you're afraid to touch each other."
Seungcheol raised his voice. "Dad."
"Sorry, sorry."
His mom came back, sitting next to her husband. "What do you guys think about your name?"
You looked at her. "Oh I love that movie!"
She smiled and put it on. You tried to focus on the movie, but the tiredness overcame you and you fell asleep.

-Seungcheols POV-

Y/n fell asleep as soon as the first minutes were over. He could hear it by your breathing. He pulled a blanket behind the couch, putting it over you, tucking you in.
"She must be tired from baking." His mom said softly.
He nodded. "Yeah."
He tried to follow the movie, but the only thing he could concentrate on were you sleeping next to him. Your presence makes him nervous.

He has a crush on you since almost four years. It started when you became class partners in art class. Y/n described a picture so beautifully, that he fell in love with the way you talk, the way you see things in life and handle them. He always thought he couldn't find love in someone, especially not in his close friend, but he did. And even though he can't see anything, he knows you're the most beautiful person in this universe, only by the way you act, you talk, you listen, you act things out. But telling you how he feels about you is not on his to-do list. He's gonna take it to his grave, since he doesn't want to ruin the relationship between you and him. Losing his best friend is worse than never finding love.

"Seungcheol, when are going to ask her out?" His dad asked.
"Never, dad."
"Why is that so?"
"Because she deserves someone better. Someone who tells her every day how beautiful she is."
"You know that's not important, Seungcheol." His mom said.
"It is to me. I won't ever be able to tell her that."
"A woman will know by your actions, my son. Your words of affirmation, other than you are beautiful."
"It's my decision. Please accept it."

Deep down he knows, his parents are right.
But he knows, that no one would ever love him the way he is.
