Finally, reaching the large set of heavily armored double doors. He was surprised to see that they had been repaired. He distinctly remembered that he destroyed the front door in his attack.
Shrugging, he didn't bother to ask any further questions. He began to push the heavy doors open. Grunting as he never realized that giant heavy steel doors probably aren't a good idea without an automated way to open them.
Breaker (Mental): "God Damn! Maybe I was giving you Guildies too much credit."
Stepping out of the doors he finds himself stepping onto the rough, uneven terrain of stone floor. Looking around, it looked like the exit led into a cavern tunnel.
Breaker (Mental): "Well, it isn't an infinite void. That's good. But this guild's base wasn't in some cave last I checked."
Beginning the trek through the tunnel, the doorway soon out of view. Leaving the safety and comfort of the guild hall behind for the unknown.
Eventually, he begins to see the makings of a faint light. It starts as a tiny dot along the cave wall, almost like a gem. But as he gets closer and closer, the light grows in size. Soon enough, he reaches the exit. A cavern entrance that vines and vegetation had overgrown.
Taking his sword from the sheath, he thinks about how natural it feels to hold his blade, considering he had never held a weapon in his life.
Breaker(Mental): "My Weapon Master Job Class has its skills carried over. I'll check to see if the other job classes skills carried over."
Wielding his longsword with finesse, he performed three slashes as trails of blood followed behind the sword, almost recreating the slashes it trailed. As the vines collapse to the ground, the Breaker covers his eyes as he's hit the tremendous amount of light.
Walking through the barrier of his leather boots, he steps onto the softer earth of a vast forest. Allowing his eyes to adjust to the sudden light, he looks around. But his curiosity is soon replaced by stunned wonder as he takes a breath.
Clean air. Fresh, clean air. He had never known such a thing. In the real world, there was no such thing as that. He was born into a world where pollution had become so rampant that the air was now toxic and practically inhabitable without a breathing mask. And now, for the first time, he's breathing natural air. It was like a wave of pureness flowing into his chest. He didn't know what to think or how to react. He just stood in the forest, surrounded by life and a natural state he had only heard about in books and old videos.
He begins to march ever forward into this strange new world. He couldn't help but reach out and touch the trees as he walked. Feel the roughness of the wood, the surprising softness of the leaves. Like a child, he knelt, and with curiosity in his eyes, he dug his hand into the dirt. Bringing it back out, he rubs his fingers together and watches the dirt crumble between them and fall back to the ground.
Looking up, he manages to see the rays of sunlight that pierce through the leaves of the trees, providing shade for him. Seeing even a tiny fraction of the sun was mesmerizing since the polluted clouds had blocked the sunlight for almost his entire life. The sun had existed in Yggdrasil since its inception, but this seemed different... nearly real.
He didn't want to go back for a moment, just a moment. He wanted to stay. To stay and live in a world untouched by toxicity and pollution.
