The echoing of soldiers' screams reverberated through the village as a Death Knight massacred the raiders. The Breaker watched as the massacre occurred, contemplating why the Death Knight existed.
Breaker(mental): "I don't get it. Death Knights are NPCs designed to guard tombs or dungeons. Not attacking random soldiers. The only possible explanation is a caster summoned this one. And Death Knights aren't your average undead; they're higher tier, which can only mean either its summoner is a high-level NPC caster or another player."
His contemplation soon turned to curiosity as he noticed that the Death Knight purposefully stayed its hand from harming the villagers.
???: "Stop, Death Knight! You have served me well!" The voice boomed through the village, stopping the Death Knight.
Floating above the group of soldiers and villagers were two figures. One was a woman wearing full black plate armor, and in her one hand was a massive greataxe. The other person looked more like a caster. He wore dark purple and black robes with gold accents. He wore a mask and metal gauntlets.
Ainz: "My name is Ainz Ooal Gown. It is a pleasure to meet all of you. Don't worry about my Death Knight. No harm will come to you now. Tell your owner of my kindness. However, the next time you commit such heinous acts in this area, it will bring death to your entire kingdom. Leave. Take my name to all those you know."
Upon finishing his monologue, the soldiers dropped their weapons and screamed in abject terror as they ran in any direction that wasn't near Ainz Ooal Gown. Some even ran past the Breaker as he merely watched Ainz with curiosity.
Breaker(mental): "This is interesting. One thing for sure, he isn't living. I can't "smell" any blood from him or hear his heartbeat. I didn't think I would ever say that, but this is far from ordinary."
The Breaker was brought back to reality as he watched one of the village folk stand and begin to speak with Ainz. Before the Breaker could eavesdrop with his enhanced hearing, he quickly felt he was being watched. To which he was correct. The armored maiden with Ainz pivoted her body toward the Breaker as she put herself between Ainz and the Breaker. Pointing her axe toward him, it was as if she could tell he was a threat, even with his disguise hiding his true nature.
"Bodyguard": "Lord Ainz, my beloved. Please allow me to deal with this fool who dares to disregard your generosity in life."
Ainz: "Nonsense, Albedo. That will not be necessary. Given your attire and the soldier's disregard for your presence, I assume you are a third party." The Breaker smirks slightly as he makes his way down towards Ainz and Albedo.
Breaker: "You would be correct. I'm merely an adventurer. Fate was not on my side as I lost my traveling gear to nature. So I wished to find the closest town or village. Unfortunately, I happened upon this village during their attack. I defeated some knights over the hill before they could ransack more of the village."
