"Hey Eren it's been awhile-" Connie began, before laughing, "What's up with the hair?"

Eren shrugged, scratching the back of his neck. "I don't know, just haven't bothered to cut it for a while."

"Or take care of yourself. You look like shit, Eren." Jean said, looking up from his phone.

"It's good to see you too, Jean," Eren said, sarcasm oozing from his voice.

Jean rolled his eyes and looked back down at the phone screen,  flipping his thumb up as he scrolled, a short bout of awkward silence filling the room.

"Well, I for one think it looks good, Eren." Sasha said, trying to lighten the mood, "It's a nice change."

"You can thank Mikasa for that," Eren said, "She cleaned it up for me just before we got here. it was kind of a mess about an hour ago."

"Kind of?" Mikasa asked, raising her eyebrow.

Eren laughed slightly, and opened his mouth to respond.

"Already back to "fixing him up", Mikasa?" Jean said, not looking up from his phone. "It's almost like you've already forgiven him."

"What's your deal, Man?" Eren asked, a small amount of frustration evident in his voice, "I came to have a good time, not to get berated."

Jean opened his mouth, but Mikasa cut him off before he could start again.

"Eren and I have already had a conversation. He's well aware of our standing. I forgive him, but that doesn't mean I'm willing to forget what he did." She said, turning her gaze to him, and meeting his eyes. "He's acknowledged that he made a mistake and promised me he would work on fixing it. Until then, he understands how I currently feel."

Eren dropped his gaze, breaking their eye contact. "I just want to spend time with you guys."

"We're glad to have you back, Eren," Armin said,  placing glasses on the tables in front of everyone, before sitting on the loveseat in his living room. "Jean too, as much as he doesn't want to show it. We're just a little hurt that it took this long."

"Yeah, come on Eren. Sasha brought her game console and we have enough controllers, let's all play a game, it'll be just like old times," Connie said, gesturing for him to sit.

Eren smiled, and sat on another one of Armin's loveseats, across from Armin and now Historia, who joined him after bringing an assortment of alcohol to their living room table.

"You joining, Mikasa?" Sasha asked, powering up the console.

"I guess I'll join," Mikasa said, before smiling slightly and walking over to sit beside Eren. "But if it's anything like last time, you're all going to have to gang up on me if you want to have a chance at winning"

Connie whistled, "A little cocky tonight, huh?" He said, handing everyone a controller. "You're on. I bet you don't last a single round this time."

"Dammit!" Connie yelled, slurring his words, and throwing the controller into his lap as his character flew off the map. "How do you always manage to be the last one standing, in every one of our matches?"

Mikasa smiled, and crossed her legs, slinging her arm across the loveseat's backrest, and taking a drink from her wine glass. "You forget that I'm the one that introduced you all to these games. I've been playing them since the first one's release."

Eren began laughing quietly, setting his controller on his thigh.

"I thought you would've given up a better fight, Eren. Haven't you been playing these games almost as long as her?" Armin asked
