Usual days at work

My wake-up call is no later than 7:00 am - shower, light makeup, if at all, clothes waiting on a hanger, and the pre-packed tote bag in the foyer. Today, I've chosen my own company college shirt as my work attire, as there's a client meeting.

Sometimes I have breakfast at home, but more often at the office or next door hotel, where you can access inside hallway from the office building. Every morning, I take a stack of vitamins, a large glass of water, and sometimes a can of energy dring. Early mornings, especially in winter or during the dark season, are sluggish, but they quickly turn efficient when I've already accomplished so much before 9:00 am. At the start of the workday, I drive my car into the office building's garage and leave the car key at the lobby reception. Today is strictly an office day with no rush, so the car will be washed by the office's car wash during the workday. It located in garage. There's a delivery mailbox in the lobby where I order everything except household supplies.

I pick up the incoming mail parcels from the mailbox. Among them are work-related samples from the United States and Europe, a pack of soft drings to the office fridge. I sometimes offer beverages for quests. In the mail is my new season workbook and a pair of trousers and new pastel colour college shirts. If I need it, the lobby provides trolleys for transporting items because I frequently run out of hands at this point. This office has couple of other supply dealers so they need trolleys too. The receptionists in the lobby joke that I must have an eternal Christmas Eve since I often receive promotional samples for online shop. Today, I have a breakfast meeting with a familiar subcontractor at 8:30 a.m. After a satisfying hotel breakfast, full of inspiration and energy, I sit down at the world's most comfortable and ergonomic office chair, in front of a large empty desk. I take my laptop from the desk's locked drawer, turn on the radio and Google Workspace, and update the workbook before focusing on other tasks. My  office is located on the seventh floor, with floor-to-ceiling windows and wall-to-wall carpeting. The office is at the end of the corridor, so I can work in peace there. I take care of new orders, analyze the list of poorly selling and popular products, arrange a meeting with the advertising agency for next week, and sketch the graphics for the next collection for the meeting until it's suddenly lunchtime. There are two dining options in the lobby. Grill & Kitchen offers four choices, and it operates quickly like an affective assembly line. There are often sushi options available as well. Or, I can select the bistro buffet. Today, I choose the bistro. On my plate, there are eggs, meatballs, chicken, cottage cheese, plenty of vegetable sticks, and a pre-cooked fresh and warm bun and a small can of cold coke. I don't mind often eating alone. I usually spend lunch reading news and browsing my mobile. Of course, other workers are present at this office building, and I have become accustomed to meeting someone I know from the workplace.

After lunch, a fairly quick meeting awaits in the lobby area with one of the house meeting rooms. So, with my iPad under my arm, calls on hold for an hour, I head to the meeting. All my belongings stay in the office room locked up in the meantime. The meeting room has no distractions, and the meeting is productive and inspiring. The hour goes by really quickly. I always save the meetings on my iPad recorder. I listen to them afterwards and create a to-do list based on them. I have explained this practice to all partners and new clients, which helps me remember to note down everything necessary after the meeting and allows me to focus on innovative discussions without taking notes during the meeting and lost my thoughts. I also have my own notebook on my iPad for things I need to remember, such as emails I've sent and am waiting for a response to. All of this has helped me stay super focused. I go through all the topics carefully to ensure that I remember to address all of the partner's issues. After saying goodbye to the guest, I take a restroom break in the large lobby restrooms. There, playing in the backround speakers is the sound of a summer forest. Often the restroom is completely empty, like now. Workers use bathrooms in their floors. If the two big companies in the building are having meetings in the largest meeting rooms, there can be a lot of traffic in the restroom during meeting breaks. The building's app shows the meeting room booking system and a simplified schedule of meeting breaks, which helps with the arrangements of large companies. Whenever the big meeting rooms are booked, I avoid the lobby areas, even though it doesn't effect my life that much. If necessary, I can also hold my own 2-3 person meeting in my officeroom or in the lobby restaurant, which is completely emptied after lunch. The café is open until 3 pm but many people crap coffee or soft drink to go. I like variety. On my way back to the office I'll grab a drink to go.
