Y/n's POV

Spending time with Luck when Asta is busy is actually pretty fun. Who would've thought he'd be willing to do anything other than...um...killing folks maybe. I mean, he says he doesn't but sometimes, I really really REALLY wonder.

I managed to find my room without getting lost this time, it actually seemed much easier, but didn't necessarily want to go sleep there yet. I've been making it a habit to go to the roof and watch the stars before bed, but even though I'm sure I pass out up there too, I end up finding myself back in bed. Even tucked in.

I shrugged my shoulders and made my way to the roof, sitting on the edge to let my feet dangle a little. The silence was a little comforting until..

"Uh...Hey, Y/n!" I was greeted not just by the voice of Finral but the smell of FOOD. GOOD SMELLING FOOD.

Why am I always hungry? Seriously?

I jumped up faster than I could've imagined for it being so late and looked at the bags Finral was holding with an amount of excitement I could barely contain.

"Fin! What is that awesome smell? Did you get something you were going to eat?" I asked with genuine curiosity, hoping he could tell me what it was and where he got it so I could get my own from the same place.

"Uh..actually, I got this to eat with you...?" He said softly, face as pink as can be.

To eat with me? So cool! He doesn't mind sharing!

"Really?! Well then come on!" I grabbed his hand to pull him to sit with me and started plating it between us. I gave him his plate first, making sure to give him the most and smiled at him. "Thank you so much, Fin!"

I sat beside him, unaware that he hadn't said anything and was just watching me. I managed to finish my plate before stretching up and out, letting out a content sigh.

"Whoa those are huge! Are they growing?!" He shrieked.

The what is h...OH!

In my excitement, I had stretched not just my arms, but my wings came out and stretched as well. They covered almost the whole top of the building effortlessly.

I pulled them back and looked away a little embarrassed.

"Sorry, I'm still not use to them."

Finral's POV

I feel like an idiot for letting that be the first thing for me to say! I embarrassed her! My first date with a girl and I embarrass her.

Although, I didn't actually manage to tell her this was a date. I'm sure she knows. It's obvious enough, right?

Finral sat staring at the stars with her for a while, knowing very well she would fall asleep soon, like usual. He had found her up here her first night by accident when he came to get a breather. He's been coming and using a portal to put her in her bed every night since then, being careful to make sure he didn't scare her awake.

When he heard her soft snores, he couldn't help but look her way with a knowing smile at her peaceful face. He picked her bridal styles and opened a portal to her bedroom, as always. He gently laid her under the covers and felt compelled to cup her cheek.

However, when he did so, the room completely changed and he was suddenly somewhere he wasn't a minute ago.

He tried very hard not to freak out, but HOLY CRAP IS THAT Y/N?!?!?!

He saw a little girl who looked maybe like a 2 year old version of her sitting in front of two baby baskets. He came closer because he heard her seemingly holding a conversation with them, which he had to admit was so cute.

Cute..

"You are Asta and you are Yuno. Okay! I like your names. We should be friends, k!" The younger version of her exclaimed with a bright smile, linking pinkies with both babies as they blew bubbles.

Finral had no idea what he was seeing, but he knew Asta and he's pretty sure he was told they met only recently.

Finral suddenly heard a sinister voice. "There she is. Grab her and kill anyone who may have witnessed this." His eyes widened in terror as the little girl calmly stood to face the charging enemies. Full grown adults surrounding children and some busted shack like it was enemy territory.

WHAT!?!?!

The shock snapped Finral out of what could only be considered some sort of vision. He had pulled back and was immediately aware of the fact that the sun was now coming out, even though it had been 10 PM just moments ago!

Finral quickly opened a portal and put one step in, before looking back at the sleeping girl. He couldn't help but think she may have a story filled with more sadness than even she is aware of.
