Frank held the two boxes of hair dye in each of his hands and contemplated. He had bright red and blonde. This was completely necessary because they had to look like completely different people when they were done.
"Gerard - what color do you want?" Frank asked, holding up the boxes so that Gerard could see. Gerard cocked his head to the side and thought for a moment.
"Red." He decided and turned back around to do whatever the fuck he was doing.
"Can you help me cut my hair?" Frank asked, handing the scissors to Gerard. "Just the sides and then leave the bangs black. Just bleach the sides - okay?"
Gerard nodded and took the scissors from Frank's hands before putting them to the side of his head and cutting as much off as the scissors would let him. "How exactly are we gonna get the leftover dye out of your hair?"
"There's a lake over there." Frank pointed. "Now hurry up so I can do you." He then blushed and looked away from the older boy so that he wouldn't get even more embarrassed over his selection of words.
Gerard hummed as he lathered his hands in the dye and ran his fingers through the sides of Frank's hair until they were blonde.
"Okay, let that sit. Now do me." Gerard smirked as he sat down on the fallen tree that Frank had been previously sitting on. Oh god, Frank internally groaned as he reached for the other box. Gerard did hear what he had said.
Frank cut Gerard's black hair shorter so that it was above his ears and massaged the color into his scalp. "How much colors have you dyed your hair since I've been gone?"
"It was dark brown when you left..." Gerard counted on his fingers. "Like five times, including dying it black more then once."
Frank nodded and continued until Gerard's hair was soaked with the color red. "Let's go to that lake now."
They climbed over trees and long grass until the medium sized body of water came into view and Frank was the first to splash in, dunking his head under so that the top layer came out. He ran his fingers through his hair until all the extra dye came out.
"Gerard. Get in the water." Frank ordered, looking up at the older boy who stared in fear at the lake.
"I don't like water." Gerard shook his head.
"How the fuck do you dye your hair then?" Frank asked with a frown and slightly irritated expression.
"A sink." Gerard said like it was obvious. "Not a fucking lake."
Frank sighed and reached forward, pulling Gerard in so that he splashed in with a yelp as the water touched him.
"Gerard, stop being such a drama queen." Frank rolled his eyes.
"It's not my fault! Why do we have to dye our hair again? Aren't we on the run because we murdered a whole mall and you killed half the police station?"
"Correction: I killed the whole mall, you got all sadistic and almost went Dexter on two girls in the girl restroom."
"Whateve-" Gerard was cut off when Frank roughly grabbed ahold of Gerard's neck and pushed it under the water and the extreme sound of gurgling soon followed after.
It was nothing to worry about.
Frank pulled Gerard's head back up with a bored expression. "We good now?"
Gerard nodded, his face oddly pale. Frank sighed and finished washing the extra hair dye from his hair and helped Gerard with his hair.
"I hate being mean to you, Gerard." Frank sighed and grabbed his hand, pulling him out of the water. "But sometimes I just have too, you gotta listen to me Gerard."
Gerard frowned but said nothing as he was dragged back to where the bags were. "Here - change into theses." Frank tossed him clothing then rummaged through another bag and tossed Gerard something else, food it looked like.
Gerard took the stuff and walked to the nearest and thickest tree he could find and stripped out of the wet clothes before pulling on the new and dry clothes.
"You done yet?" Frank asked from the other side.
Gerard walked out. "Yeah I am."
"Good - eat up, we have to go." Frank rushed and picked up the bag and grabbed Gerard's hand before running off away from the sound of the sirens.
Even though, if someone were chasing them, they'd see the wet clothes left behind.
But that thought only made Frank grin like a madman.
Let them find him, a challenge was always good.

"I don't even know where to look anymore!" Mikey shouted in anger as he dropped on the couch. "He's been gone for four days and I can't find him anywhere." He sighed miserably and slammed his face into the nearest thing which luckily happened to be a pillow.
Ray sat down next to him and pat his head. "I'm sorry, I don't really know what to say."
"Then say nothing - I don't know either, but that I do know is that Gerard has been gone and everybody is doing jackshit to help me find him."
"I know - if I could do something, I would." Ray said quietly, his moving up and on Mikey's back.
"Maybe you can." Mikey sat up quickly and looked into Ray's eyes with compete seriousness. "What if we go search for him and stuff...like that?"
Ray sighed. "If you want too....but do you know how far they could be right now?
Mikey nodded. "I'm aware, but he's my brother, we have to go. Please."
"Fine." Ray stood up, he walked out of the room and came back a few minutes later. "Come on."
They walked our of the house and got into the car before driving off.
And then something about Mikey yelling out the window about going to save Gerard.
