Days passed since the Rivendell festival.
Scott kept Xornoth's crystal around his neck, unaware of the red glow.
Scott roamed his empire, seeing what he could do, or how he could help.
When things started fading.
His kingdom
His people
Turned to darkness.
"Scott." A familiar dark voice said.
"Whose there? Xornoth?" Scott asked, looking around.
"That's right, brother. It's me." Xornoth said. Scott's eyes darted around the darkness.
"I thought we trapped you! Why are you back?" He asked. Xornoth's demonic laugh was heard from every direction.
"I haven't escaped. Not yet. I'm still trapped in the crystal you keep around your neck." He chuckled. Scott raised his hand, and held the crystal.
It was warm.
"What do you want Xornoth?" Scott asked.
"You'll see. I'm going to make you watch as I destroy your friends." Xornoth said, chuckling. Scott growled.
"Try your luck, Xornoth!" He cried, only to find Gem in front of him, and she was confused.
"Scott?" She asked.
"Oh, hey Gem..." Scott said sheepishly.
"Are you okay?" Gem asked.
"Fine, completely fine... Nothing to worry about. What brings you to Rivendell?" Scott asked.
"I was checking on you, but if your okay, then... Then I'll go." She said, indicating she will head back to her empire, the Crystal Cliff's.
"Oh... Okay... Well, I'll see you around Gem." Scott said. Gem nodded, her purple, crystal wings flying her into the sky.
Scott looked down at the crystal.
Something back was going to happen, he knew it.
I need to put it somewhere safe... But that place is with me... No where in Rivendell or the whole world is safe... Only on me. He thought.
Only on me.
