"The power of chaos has certain rules..."

A girl with long periwinkle hair waved to the people surrounding her stage, her Star Guardian uniform on full display as she twirled around. "All right you beautiful people, make some noise!"

"Wooo!"

"We love you, Nejire!"

"Show those monsters who's boss!"

She grinned and held a hand over her heart. "Aww, I can hear each and every one of your hearts! Your support is all the power I need!"

She turned around to face the group of incoming void hounds. "This first song goes out to all the haters!"

"It's a spiritual infection, one only certain Guardians can resist..."

Nejire held out her hand. An iridescent light pulsated from it and shot out just as the void hounds jumped at her, forming a wall of energy that stopped them in their tracks when they slammed into it.

"Yeah, it's a hit! And you make it all possible!" she jumped as she addressed the crowd, who were still hollering her name in excitement.

"You'd be surprised who some of them are..."

Further down from the stage surrounded by tall architecture, two Star Guardians sat hidden in a nearby tree, perched on the branches as they watched on.

"You really think Miss Pop Star can help us?" Mirio asked.

"Yeah. She's like you: Been a Star Guardian for a long time, never fell," (M/N) said. "And having some more cheer on the team wouldn't be that bad. Especially when that cheer can level a city block."

Mirio laughed. "Fine by me. She sounds pretty interesting."

Back at the stage, the void hounds had regrouped on Nejire.

"Uh oh! Looks like our new friends haven't given up, but I've never met a crowd I couldn't win over!" Nejire said, a knowing smile made its way onto her face. "This next song goes out to anyone fighting darkness."

Mirio looked surprised. "Wait, what?"

(M/N) was equally surprised. "Was she talking to us? How does she know we're here?"

Nejire began to sing as she manifested her starlight to take on the void hounds.

"When darkness tries to suffocate, to drown and overwhelm!

It feels like you can't escape to any other realm!

But don't give in and don't give up! You're never on your own!"

(M/N) couldn't explain it, but somehow the song seemed to have a cleansing effect on his body. Mirio seemed to be experiencing the same thing.

"Star Guardians will have your back! So don't you feel aloooooone!"

"Interesting... She can sense what we are," Mirio said.

"She's kinda amazing," (M/N) responded as he watched her dance around the void hounds, her starlight flowing with her movements. He hadn't heard much about her on his travels... but this was more than he was expecting.

"Shine so bright! Combined our light will make sure we win the fight."

Her glowing energy surrounded the void hounds, caging them in.
