When Saturday night finally arrived all three girls stood in Olivia's restroom getting ready. Yelling over the music, Jess says "I can't believe I get to meet Paige Bueckers!"
Olivia rolls her eyes, "Please act normal," she says straightening the last piece of her hair. "What do you mean "'act normal'?" Jess says squinting her eyes at Olivia.
"Like don't get drunk and start spilling all of my secrets or telling all of the girls your whole life story." Olivia says, giving her a knowing look.
"Ok that has literally only happened once!" Jess yells, defending herself. Amber scoffs saying "That actually happens every time we go out, Jess..."
Jess only groans in response. "Ok fine I'll try to be normal! I can't help it, I'm a people person," she says feigning sadness.
Jess knew the girls were only playing with her. They often joked about how lively she was and her love of making new friends. She had enough joy in her for the whole group.

"Okay what is the vibe for tonight?" Amber asked "like is it a skirt or dress function?" holding up two options. This question was mostly directed at Olivia since she was the one who got them invited to this party.
"I honestly don't know. I'm thinking dress." Olivia said searching through her closet. "Perfect! I was hoping you said that." Amber said, deciding on one of her favorite black mini dresses.
"I know you told me to stop saying stuff about you and Paige, but I think if you wore this red dress you would definitely catch her eye." Jess said, going into the closet and picking out a dress that Olivia hadn't worn yet.
"I'm not trying to "catch her eye", but fine I'll wear it." Olivia said taking the dress from her.
For some reason her friends kept suggesting that there was something more than friendship going on between her and Paige. She was doing her best to shut down these allegations, but that obviously wasn't working.
She was trying her best to just ignore them.
After everyone finished their makeup and got dressed, they pregamed as they waited for their Uber.
They all agreed that they needed some confidence for the party that they were about to attend. All of them for different reasons.
The ride from their apartment to Paige's was too short for Olivia's liking. She was nervous for reasons she couldn't explain.
By the time they arrived it had been almost an hour since the party had started. It was in full swing, and as the girls walked in, their nostrils were filled with the smell of sweat and booze.
There were more people than Olivia expected, but still not too many.
The first person she saw from the team was Caroline, who surprisingly ran up to her and hugged her. "Olivia!! I'm so happy you came!" she said once they broke their hug.
