It had been almost a month since Olivia and the girls had attended the UCONN basketball game and Paige was still looming in the back of Olivia's mind.

She was filled with nerves as she walked to a meeting with her professor. He had messaged her a couple of days ago, briefly mentioning an internship opportunity surrounding her major at the school and scheduling a meeting to provide more details.

Olivia was majoring in sports medicine, which was pretty uncommon for someone who didn't enjoy playing sports. But for reasons unknown to even Olivia, she was always really interested in athlete's health and fitness.

"Hi Mr. Mendoza! You wanted to meet with me?" Olivia said putting her stuff down and walking towards his desk. "Yes Ms.Davis, I wanted to inform you of a recent internship opportunity you might be interested in," he said "A friend of mine in the athletics department just informed me that the women's basketball physical trainer just quit, meaning that there's a spot open. They asked me to send my best student, and I chose you." he said gesturing towards her.

Shock flooded Olivia's features. "Thank you so much Mr. Mendoza but I don't know. I've never done anything like that before." she said. A physical trainer for the basketball team? That was not like Olivia at all.

"Olivia, I wouldn't recommend you if I didn't believe in you 100 percent. Just try it out maybe you'll like it! Plus they'll pay you well." he said smiling at her. "I think I'll need some time to think. When would I start?" Olivia asked, she couldn't believe she was actually considering this, but she did need a job.

"Wednesday would be your first practice if you decide to do it." said Mr.Mendoza. "Ok. I'll consider it." she said giving him a smile and heading to her seat waiting for others to arrive and the lecture to begin.

At home Olivia, Jess, and Amber sat eating dinner. The job offer still fresh in Olivia's mind.

"Guess what." she says pulling her friend's attention from the show they were watching on the TV. "What?" they say in unison. "This morning my teacher told me the women's basketball team needs a physical trainer-" she is cut off by a shriek from her overly enthusiastic best friends. "This is huge! When do you start?" said Jessie. "Who said I accepted it?" Olivia asked in shock. "Girl you would be stupid if you didn't." Amber said shaking her head.

"I don't know guys...I mean I've never been a physical trainer before, and I barely even like basketball." she said, now pushing her food around on her plate with her fork.

"Who cares you get to hang out with hot girls and get paid! What do you have to lose?" said Jess, Amber nodding along with her. "They're hiring me to be a physical trainer not to date them!" she yelled at her best friend, hitting her. "Just do it Liv. You need to put yourself out there more." Amber said.

"Okay. I'll think about it, but I don't want to talk about it anymore." Olivia said shoveling a bite of pasta into her mouth, and silencing her friends.
