As we sit down on the blanket I feel so big and out of place. I can't someone actually would want to spend time with me, especially not her, especially not since I've embarrassed myself so much!
"So, where the garden everything you expected?" she talks with such natural confidence as she looks into my eyes. "It's beautiful, magical! it truly is, tulips everywhere and huge old trees. "I've always thought so too!" she smiles creating dimples in her cheeks and making my heart melt. "I've actually walked past this garden for most of my life, more recently though..." my heart beats rapidly as I continue. "I walk here every day... in hopes of seeing you." heat rises to my face as her mouth opens. "You come here to watch me?!" her cheeks are looking extra rosy right now and I quickly shake my head. "No! Yes! I mean not like a stalker! You're just so beautiful and your smile's like sunshine and just catching a glimpse of you for a moment makes me so happy!" I feel like crying and throwing up because now she probably hates me. "Really?" she asks with her hands covering her face. "I promise." my finger stings and I make a grimace as I see it's bleeding from nervously picking at my nail beds.Kalinda
"Don't do that!" I grab his hand to stop his fidgeting and he looks at me like I'm crazy. "I'm sorry, I do it without thinking about it..." he breathes heavily and I don't want him to cry so I softly stroke his cheek with the back of my free hand. He flinches at my touch so I pull my hand back. "I...it's fine I'm just not used to anyone wanting to touch my face." I remove a strand of his hair sticking to his sweaty face. "I should tell you that I find you quite beautiful too." I try to make eye contact with him to portray my sincerity. "R...really?" he stammers.
