Wolfen Opportunities

Kyle arrives to work at 'Howlin Hugs,' the plushie company he works as a janitor for. Kyle is not exactly in the best mindset as he arrives, as the place is now a reminder for his buddy Daryl, who sadly 'went missing' recently. Kyle opens the door and sees the new CEO -Clark-a well dressed but blonde mullet having man- has come to greet him. "Hiya, uhh, Kyle, right?" Clark asks. "Yeah..." Kyle says with a sad look on his face. "I know a lot of things have happened recently what with the whole revolution which killed a lot of people but I believe we can bounce back from this, wouldn't you agree?" "can i please just do my job?" Kyle asks, with a 'i want to go cry myself to sleep look' which Clark notices. "Weeeeeellllllll why don't I introduce you to the new security hire first?" Clark responds. He speaks on the intercom "Hey Richas?"

"Huh wha- i wasn't sleeping." a voice (presumably rich) responds with. Clark then says "come meet your new coworkers Richas!" Rich responds with "it's Richard." Afterwards a man with a scratchy looking beard enters the reception area, wearing a security uniform. He's a little chubby. "Hi, im-" he pauses for a moment, "... Richard... but Rich is ok, and only my FRIENDS can call me 'Richas' CLARK" he responds with "yeesh okay". With introductions over Kyle goes on to clean the place. There's an unconscious body face first in the toilet and a lot of beer bottles around him. 

Kyle then sees a memorial to the workers who sadly perished during the revolution against the old CEO. The previous security guard Daryl is one of the pictures. Kyle sees the funeral and the pic of Daryl, and just stops, barely stopping himself from breaking down. He moves on and completes his shift, and walks home. Soon as he gets there he starts to sob, as who wouldn't be sad about being the cause of a friend's death. 

Kyle's wolf form comes out as the night arrives and he debates over watching cat videos or crying himself to sleep. He ends up watching cat videos while sad. Just then he hears a creek coming from behind him. He decides to ignore it. He hears another creek shortly after, then notices his window is open for some reason. He goes to close it then returns to his cat videos.

"I KNEW IT!!!!" an unknown voice comes from nowhere saying that, scaring Kyle feral, he goes to attack where the voice came from, only to be greeted with a bone shoved into his face. The voice says "ahhh, feral fear, that brings back memories! Wait, is this an unhealthy coping mechanism?" it was another werewolf, that broke into his apartment. Kyle was for sure shocked after coming to his senses. Then he recognizes the uniform the wolf's wearing. "Wait, Rich?" he asks. "Heh, didn't expect this didya?" Rich responds. Being a werewolf-in-hiding, Kyle never thought he'd meet another like him. "Sorry about breaking in" Rich says, "you definitely wouldn't have told me"

"You seem like you could use someone to talk to, I know a place that's 'wolf friendly'" obviously Kyle is skeptical about this, but follows along because this could be a once in a lifetime opportunity. Rich shows a safe and quick passage to the place he's talking about. It smelled like dog. At the end of the passage, was a McRolands that was still open. Kyle was confused (as he should be). "C'mon" responded Richard. The two walk inside and see that most of the seats have a werewolf on them, as they greet "RICHAS!!" Kyle is just in awe, as this is a bit much for him. "Orders on me" Rich continues. 

Kyle sees that the restaurant itself is run by wolves as well as a few humans, which makes him a bit nervous, as Rich orders burgers and fries with BBQ sauce right before asking what Kyle wants. Kyle gets a plain double burger with ketchup with a vanilla shake. they find a seat and Rich says "quite ironic ain't it? 2 werewolves working at a company whose mascot is a werewolf, hah!" Kyle didn't respond and just ate. "Too soon?" Rich says as he couldn't come up with a response. 

Kyle then asks "how has no one found out about this place yet? Is this place not open during the day?" rich replies with "eh, yes and no, they are open in the day, they just close a little early so us wolves can get a non-human bite to eat, and as to how no one knows-" just then the entrance swings open as a human walks inside saying "GIMME A CHEESEBURGER WITH NO CHEESE" the guy then sees what he stumbled into and just stood there. One of the human employees comes out and says "tell no one what you saw, got it?" with a menacing look on his face, and holding a knife. The human customer nods. The employee then goes on like "so a burger then?" the customer clearly spooked says "yeah, to go please" Rich then says "That." 

Rich then continues on with talking about Howlin Hugs and werewolves. He then notices the look on Kyle's puppy dog eyes, and with a sympathizing look and says "look, I know it's not any of my business, but i saw you nearly break down at the memorial thing, like, are you ok? I... know what its like to ... uh ... accidentally kill someone. Multiple people. Then have to- I'm sure u know what I'm talking about" Kyle looks at him, trying to hold his tears back but, it was futile. He starts crying as Rich tries to go for a hug, but backs down because he didn't wanna make him uncomfortable. Kyle hugs him anyway, as someone can finally relate to him. "Hey, i know a good therapist if you want." Rich continues, "werewolf friendly of course."

The two part ways as Kyle heads back home through the passage, with a therapist card in hand and a smile on his face. He heads to bed wondering 'I wonder what else is out there for people like me'
