As she came close, Rachel held Daniel's arm from one side and rose on her feet, slowly closing the distance between their faces. She closed her eyes as he came nearer and nearer, placing a kiss on his cheek.

For Daniel, it was a soft, fluffy thing that came in contact with his face. It was sweet, and he felt a tingling sensation throughout his body.

"Forgive me, will you?" Rachel's words brought Daniel back to his senses. Realizing what had just happened, a smile crept onto his face. He then took Rachel's hand in his, gently stroking it. He looked up at the anticipating Rachel. The wind blew, and so did her hair, dancing with the wind. Her eyes were filled with tears, her nose and ears red as cherries. Seeing this only made Daniel smile more.

"Why are you asking for forgiveness? Have you cheated on me, huh?"

"What?" exclaimed Rachel as she hit his chest. "You are unbelievable."

Daniel took the strands of her hair and tucked them behind her ear. With each passing second, his eyes grew darker as he stared at Rachel. The temperature was getting hotter, even the cold wind did no good.

And when he couldn't control himself, he pulled her into a kiss. Rachel's eyes widened at his sudden action, but then she also slowly lost herself in the dream he wove.

Only when they were breathless did they part away. Their faces were flushed as they caught their breath, holding each other's gaze.

Slowly, the wind soothed them as Daniel cupped Rachel's cheeks.

"I was planning to let you go if you did not love me, but now don't even think about it anymore," Daniel held her as if she were the precious treasure he had found after a long, hard search. She was the only person who could stir him like that. He had always been in control of his emotions, but he truly didn't know where all of it went when he faced her. He couldn't help but sigh in his mind.

Hearing this, Rachel smiled and buried her face in Daniel's chest, still cupped by his hands, slowly melting into his embrace.

"Rachel, I heard everything from Daniel's assistant, but I want to hear from you."

"Yes, say it, darling. Is it really Hannes we knew?" asked her father, the fine lines of worry evident from the love and care he held for his daughter.

"Yes, Papa...he is really the Hannes we have known. He had been in love with her newly hired secretary even before he agreed to get married to me. I...I got to know of it recently, and when...when I went to question him, he threatened me, let alone apologizing. And I am sure you've heard the recording too..."

"This man! I am going to make him learn his lesson. HOW DARE HE DO THAT TO MY PRECIOUS DAUGHTER!" exclaimed Mr. Dennis, swearing to erase the very existence of this man who hurt his daughter. Even while disciplining her, he did not use any harsh words, but this man dared to hurt her emotionally to such an extent.

"Papa! Papa! Wait a minute. Right now, we need him for our contract signing. Our company is not doing well, and any form of retaliation from us...if he uses it against us, we will lose it all. Calm down, Papa."

"Yes, dear. Sit here and calm down," said Mrs. Dennis, holding her husband and guiding him to sit on the sofa.

Mr. Dennis was a very calm and rational person, but when it came to his precious daughter, he would lose all his rationality.

"Tomorrow is the contract signing. I hope everything will go smoothly," said Rachel as she got up from her father's side, determination showing in her eyes.

"This time, I will watch you being destroyed. Where will you stand if not for the help from my family?"
