The morning at work passed in a blur. My thoughts kept drifting back to my strange encounter with Celeste. My frustration only grew as the day went on, compounded by the constant snide remarks and petty sabotages from my coworkers. They seemed to enjoy making my job as difficult as possible.

Around midday, I was finalizing a report when I overheard Sarah, one of the senior employees, talking to another coworker. "Can you believe Rose messed up the client presentation again?" she sneered.

I clenched my fists, feeling the anger bubbling up. "I didn't mess it up, Sarah. You switched the files on my desk."

Sarah turned to me, a fake innocent expression on her face. "Oh, did I? Must have been a mistake."

"Enough!" I shouted, slamming my hands on my desk. The entire office fell silent, all eyes turning toward me. "I'm tired of your games. Do your own work and leave mine alone."

The tension in the room was thick. Before anyone could react, Celeste's voice cut through the silence. "Rose, my office. Now."

I followed her, seething with anger but also feeling fear. Celeste closed the door behind me and leaned against her desk, her expression unreadable.

"Your behavior was unacceptable," she said. "You can't let them get to you like that."

I took a deep breath, trying to steady my nerves. "I know something isn't right, Celeste. I remember what happened that night. You told me to let you in. You did something to me, and I'm going to find out what."

Celeste stared at me, her eyes cold and calculating. The silence stretched on, making me feel more uneasy with each passing second. Finally, she spoke. "If you want to know the truth about that night, meet me at the old abandoned hospital after work."

My heart raced. The abandoned hospital was a notorious place in town, known for its creepy, desolate atmosphere. "Fine," I said, trying to sound braver than I felt. "I'll be there."

Celeste nodded, her lips curling into a faint smile. "Good. As for your punishment for behaving so violently in the workplace, I'll think of something. But until then, you need to continue working. Your shift ends at six."

I left her office, feeling a mix of dread and determination. Throughout the rest of the day, I tried to focus on my tasks. I worked as a junior analyst at a financial firm, and despite the hostile work environment, I was dedicated to my job. I had dreams of climbing the corporate ladder, proving myself, and one day securing a higher position.

But the constant sabotage from my coworkers made it difficult. Sarah and her team seemed determined to undermine me at every turn. Still, I pushed through, determined not to let them break me.

By the time six o'clock rolled around, I was exhausted. I gathered my things and headed out, my mind focused on the meeting with Celeste. The old abandoned hospital loomed in my thoughts, a symbol of the dark secrets I was about to uncover.

I arrived at the hospital just as the sun was setting, casting eerie shadows across the crumbling structure. I took a deep breath and pushed open the rusted gate, stepping into the unknown. As I walked through the overgrown courtyard, I heard a noise coming from one of the rooms.

Cautiously, I approached the source of the sound. The door to one of the rooms was slightly open, and I pushed it open. Suddenly, a tall dark figure grabbed me, slamming me against the wall. My heart pounded as I looked up and saw a vampire with pale skin and dark eyes-a man I had never seen before.

He bared his fangs, ready to bite, when suddenly Celeste appeared, grabbing him and throwing him off me. They fought ferociously, and I took the chance to run. As I bolted for the exit, I glanced back to see Celeste ripping a part of the man's body off.

I tripped over something just before reaching the door. I heard the sound of footsteps running towards me. I turned around, sitting on the floor, and saw Celeste towering over me. Her eyes were wild, and she growled, "You are mine, Rose. If you don't want to end up dead you'd better run."

Two other vampires appeared, and Celeste lunged at them, fighting them off with a strength I had never seen. I took her words to heart and sprinted to my car, my hands shaking as I fumbled with the keys. Once inside, I started the engine and sped off, not daring to look back.

My mind raced as I drove home, the night's events playing over and over in my head. Whatever Celeste was, whatever world she belonged to, I was now deeply entangled in it. And there was no turning back.
